Don't Tempt Me...

Kaitlynn finally woke up after getting a few hours of rest. When she fell asleep it was almost 7 am, when she woke up it was now 3 pm. 8 whole hours of rest she thought to herself. Then she sat up and look around as Jim walked in. ''Oh good you're up'' he said.

Kaitlynn swung her legs on the edge of her bed and she said ''Since why do you care?''

''What's that suppose to mean?'' Jim asked.

''You've been so busy with Khan and everything you forgot all about me'' Kaitlynn said bluntly.

Jim shook his head slowly as he said ''No I haven't''

''James, what's today?'' Kaitlynn asked her brother.

Jim tried counting the days in his head, but found no prevail. Kaitlynn rolled her eyes and stood up from her bed. She walked past him as she said ''Thanks for wishing me a Happy 20th Birthday big bro''

Then she made her way to the main control room as Jim froze in place. Kaitlynn waited until Jim left her room to go and grab a change of clothes. She grabbed a black and white boys flannel with a light pink crop tank and faded baby blue shorts and then she went to find the showers.

A minute or so later, Kaitlynn came out in her normal clothes and her hair down. She threw on her knee high converse with the strap and buckles and then proceeded to make her way into the main control room, where Carol was. Carol looked at her and she said with a smile ''Happy 20th birthday, Kaitlynn''

Kaitlynn looked at Khan, who just gave her a small smile. Then she looked back at Carol and she said ''Thank you Ms. Marcus''

''Up late again?'' Carol asked.

Kaitlynn sighed and she said ''I couldn't sleep. It's hard to sleep''

''I've been there'' Carol said with a smirk. They shared a laugh together then Carol left for weapon controls. Kaitlynn observed what the crew was doing, sneaking glances with Khan from here and there. At one point, once, Khan even flashed a smile to Kaitlynn. Kaitlynn smiled back, but after that Kirk said ''Kait, go meet Bones''

Kaitlynn looked back at Khan then at Kirk. Then she left for the medic room. Jim looked at Khan then walked up to the glass and said ''Stay away from my sister''

''Why should I do that?'' Khan asked.

''I will end you'' Jim said sternly.

Khan smirked then walked away from the glass. Jim grunted then he walked away.

Later that night, Kaitlynn, still in her normal clothes, made her way back to the main control room. She looked into the cell to find Khan leaning his back against the wall and sitting on the floor. He looked up and smirked. ''Happy Birthday Kaitlynn'' Khan said.

Kaitlynn smiled and she said ''Thank you''

Khan stands up and he walked up to the glass. ''Your brother threatened me'' he said.

Kaitlynn raised an eyebrow ''Oh really?''

Khan smirked and then Kaitlynn said ''He didn't scare you at all I bet''

''Not even close'' Khan said. Then Kaitlynn traced her finger along the glass.

''Why do you keep looking at me?'' Kaitlynn asked.

''Because I meant what I said to you last night. You are a weird creature'' Khan said.

''So?'' Kaitlynn asked.

''Doesn't mean I'm not intrigued by you'' Khan said. Kaitlynn looked at Khan and she asked ''Why me?''

Khan smirked and he said ''Come into my cell and find out why you''
