2 Years Later

2 years later Kaitlynn, now nearing her due date, was walking to the the entrance of the cargo shed, where Khan and his crew were being stored. She was wearing an over the shoulder, low cut, long sleeved purple sweatshirt with black open footed sweatpants and black sneakers. It had been two long years since she had seen Khan. Two years since she had felt her husband's lips on hers. Two years since she felt his arms wrapped around her. She couldn't wait forever and since her due date was fast approaching, she needed Khan now more than ever.

She looked down at her huge baby bump and she smiled. She rubbed it and said ''Don't worry Max, soon we'll find daddy and we can all be together''

When she found out she was having a baby boy, she decided to name him Maxwell Khan Singh. She smiled at the thought of her son, he'll be like his father, but not by much. Then she opened the door to the cargo shed. Kaitlynn kept one hand on her huge belly and she started walking through the aisle to find Khan's cryotube so she can release him and she can finally have her husband and her family.

''So many cryo tubes'' Kaitlynn said to herself. She looked into them all and continued walking through the aisle until she finally made it to the far end. For some reason, a memory came to her.

''How could you do this to me? To our family?''

Jim was furious with Kaitlynn over the choice she made with being with Khan.
''James I don't care to hear your childish nonsense right now'' Kaitlynn said and she started to walk away from Jim. He grabbed her wrist tightly and he said ''Where do you get off betraying me? Betraying MY crew!?''

''Ow! James! You're hurting me!'' Kaitlynn said as Jim's grip tightened.

''I knew it was a mistake to let you step foot on my ship. You are a traitor!'' Jim exclaimed.

''It wouldn't have been this way if you had just been there for me!'' Kaitlynn exclaimed. Then Jim slapped Kaitlynn hard across the face. She fell to her knees in tears. Then he released her. He looked down at her and he said ''I have no more sister''

Then he walked away.

Kaitlynn wiped the single tear away from her eye and then she looked over Khan's cryotube. She put in the deactivation code and then the lid popped open. There he was. Her husband and the father of her unborn child.

She waited a few minutes for the de-thawing process to commence. Once a few minutes passed she went to run her fingers through Khan's hair but what happened next scared her.

Khan gripped her wrist tightly and stepped out of his tube. He slammed her against the wall and he barked ''WHO ARE YOU!? WHY DID YOUAWAKEN ME!?''

''K-K-K-K-Khan it's me! It's Kaitlynn!'' She stuttered out.

Khan squinted his eyes then his eyes widened. He released his hold on her wrist as he said ''Kaitlynn?''

''Yes it's me... It's me darling''

Khan observed her up and down. Then he grinned. ''My Kaitlynn'' Khan breathed out.

Then he pulled her into a tight embrace. ''Ooh! Khan darling please be careful'' Kaitlynn said as she placed her hands on her huge belly. Khan looked down at her belly and he placed his hands on her belly. ''My God sweetheart. You're almost due'' he breathed out. ''What're you having?''

''A boy'' Kaitlynn smiled. ''His name is Maxwell Khan Singh''

Khan's jaw dropped. ''His middle name is my first?''

Kaitlynn nodded her head 'yes'. ''Darling we need to get going before anyone from Starfleet sees us the ship's all set''

''What? How?'' Khan asked confused.

''I'll explain later. Right now we have to go''

Then, Khan and Kaitlynn made their way to the ship.

Kaitlynn was laying down on the bed running a finger up and down her belly waiting for Khan to get out of the shower. She had spent two long years waiting for the right moment to release Khan from the cryotube. Unfortunately, she had to wait for Jim to stop looking for her. Ever since he found out about her treachery, he's proclaimed a manhunt on her. He wanted her dead. He wanted her blood on his hands. Jim became insane and she had no choice but to stay in hiding. Somehow she managed to steal an unmarked Federation ship and escaped all the while she's about to deliver.

The door hissed open and Khan stepped out of the shower, his hair still wet and he was only wearing his black boxers. He made his way to the bed, crawled into it, and he wrapped his arms around her. ''You OK?'' Khan asked.

''I want this baby out, 2 years have been long enough for me to carry this child'' Kaitlynn said.

Khan chuckled and he said ''Don't worry, your date is nearing I can already tell''

Then Kaitlynn felt a sharp pain in her stomach. ''AHHHHH'' She held her stomach with her hands and she leaned forward.

Khan sat up and he got out of the bed. Kaitlynn cried out as her husband parted her legs. ''Darling'' Khan said.

''Mmm what?'' Kaitlynn said in pain. ''Is the baby coming?''

''He's crowning. I can already see his little head I need you to push''

Kaitlynn gripped onto the bed covers and she pushed as Khan said ''1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10''

Kaitlynn cried out and she pushed out baby Maxwell. Khan pulled their son out and he smiled and held him in his arms. ''He's here''

Then he went to clean off their son. A minute later, Khan brought Maxwell out wrapped in a baby blue blanket and a baby blue hat. He smiled and handed Maxwell to Kaitlynn. She took their son into her arms as Khan cleaned up the afterbirth. Once he was done, Khan laid down with her and their son. He sniffed and Kaitlynn looked at him. ''Khan?'' she asked.

Khan looked at her and he just kissed her. Once he pulled away, Kaitlynn smiled and asked him ''What was that for?''

He placed his arm behind her and he said ''For coming into my life the way you did''

Kaitlynn smiled and they enjoyed the site of their newborn son.
