Gram was at a doctors appointment today and insisted I couldn't go. She was having a bad day and it was everything Emilia could do to convince her I was even her granddaughter. Although it hurt I didn't push. I just told Emilia to go with her and tell me what was going on.

Emilia assured me she would and they left. I debated calling Macy but didn't want to bother her. She was probably at work. So instead I sat on the kitchen counter with a pint of ice cream and a spoon. As I was drowning my sorrow my phone lit up with Harry's number.

"Hello?" I answered around my ice cream.

"Anna?" He asked.

God I'm such a fool. "Yeah, it's me."

"Oh, I didn't really expect you to answer. I wanted to know if you'd like to go get lunch?" He seemed nervous which was kind of endearing.

"Sure," I looked down at my clothes. "I can be ready in like twenty minutes."

He said he'd see me then. We hung up and I flew upstairs. I rifled through my clothes, trying to find something to wear. It was silly but I wanted to look good.

I mean yeah Harry had seen me bawling my eyes out, and hell he'd even seen me naked, but this was different. This was the first time we were doing something planned together. I'd spent years thinking about what I'd say to Harry if I ever saw him again, and what had happened was nothing like what I'd thought I'd say. I wanted this to be better than that.

Twenty minutes later I was dressed in light wash jeans and an off the shoulder black top. I stepped into some cute boots and grabbed my bag. Just as I was about to start talking myself out of this outfit Harry called to tell me he was here.

"You look beautiful." He smiled as I slid into his car.

I toyed with my hair a little. "Thank you."

"I thought we could order some Chinese food and take it back to my place? I just wanted to be able to talk." Harry said as he drove.

My insides felt like they were getting squished. "Um, yeah that's fine. I like Chinese food. Almost as much as I like Mexican food. I mean I really like all food. There's not much I won't eat."

Harry chuckled. "You shouldn't be nervous Anna."

"Nervous, I'm not nervous." I said as I felt like I might actually shit myself.

"Sure." Harry laughed to himself.

We got the food and drove back toward the beach. Harry was apparently staying in a villa near the pier. When we pulled in it looked like something you'd see on a postcard.

"You're staying here?" I asked getting out.

Harry grabbed the bags of food and shut his door. "Yeah, the label pays for it. They set me up with everything I need and all I have to do is finish this first album."

"How's it coming? The album?"

He shrugged. "Could be better."

Inside we sat at his table and ate. Harry tried to show me how to used the chopsticks and I failed miserably. We laughed and joked around. It was pretty much exactly how I'd imagined a date with Harry in my head. He was kind and made silly jokes. He was also serious and listened when I talked.

After awhile we finished eating. Harry played me a few bits and pieces of songs he was working on. We talked about my Gram and about his friend Mitch. Then it was time for me to head back. I wanted to be there when Gram got home.

"Anna?" He asked with the keys in his hand at the door.

"Harry?" I smiled.

He looked up at the ceiling then back to me. "Can I kiss you?"
