Harry was sitting in a chair on the other side of Gram's bed as she slept. He'd gotten there about an hour after we'd talked. He brought me a coffee from Starbucks and some banana bread. He was the sweetest.

"Hey?" I looked over at him.

"Hey what?"

"Did you tell Mitch what I said about Macy?" I asked remembering her earlier call randomly.

His eyebrows kicked up a little. "I may have mentioned it when he came over to write."

"I asked you not to say anything."

"I didn't tell him the whole thing, just that he was right about Reggie." Harry said. "I didn't tell him what happened."

"So why did Macy call me saying Reggie came into her station all beat up threatening her, and she was going to bail Mitch out of jail?" I sat forward in my chair.

Harry looked up at the ceiling and cussed under his breath. "I swear I had nothing to do with that Anna."

I believed him. Even if he was lying I don't think I'd care much. Hell, I was going to high five Mitch next time I saw him.

"Gram told me you played her a song." I said changing the subject.

"I did." He said with a light redness tinting his cheeks.

"Can I hear it?" I asked.

He shook his head. "It's not done."

"Gram said she liked it." I said wringing my fingers together in my lap. "I feel like I never really get to hear your music. You write all the time but I never get to hear anything."

"You can hear some of my finished songs if you want, but the one I played Susie isn't done yet. I'd rather play it for you when it's done." He shrugged.

"Does Mitch always help you write?" I asked.

"Yeah, when I need something extra he adds parts." He said. "He's loads of help."

I smiled. "Then I'm glad you have him."

"Me too." Harry smiled.

"Anna Marie," Gram's voice made me jump. "You can go home Dear."

"Sorry we woke you Gram. We'll be quiet." I assured her.

"I'll be fine here alone. Go get some sleep." She reached over and patted my knee.

"I'm not going anywhere Gram." I places my hand on hers.

"Neither am I Susie." Harry patted her other hand.

She smiled a bright smiled over at Harry. "Always take care of my Anna Marie."

"Always." He smiled and looked up at me. "As long as she lets me."

I could've cried at that moment, but I held it together. Gram talked to Harry awhile about how he reminded her of my Grandpa, which she'd told him before, but he just smiled and listened all over again. She fell back to sleep soon after that and I wasn't far behind. Harry was humming to himself and typing on his phone. I assume he was writing a song, but I was asleep before I was sure.

The beeping of Gram's heart monitor woke me up when it spiked. I opened my eyes and looked around in a panic only to find Harry making her laugh. Nurses came in looking panicked but calmed down when the discovered the same thing.

"How're you feeling Mrs. Towns?" The nurse asked.

"Like a million bucks." Gram smiled.

"Sore at all?"
