Road trip

Shayne's POV:
Today, Courtney and I are driving to San Jose to see a sleep doctor. We decided that we would use my car instead of hers. We load up our backs at the back of the car. We are staying in San Jose Marriott.
"Is everything ready?" I asked her
"Yup," She replied
"Let's go then, " I said.
We went inside the car, I was driving, of course, and Courtney was in the passenger seat. We were both wearing a tie-dye hoodie from Smosh, we didn't plan to but we had the same outfit. We put on our seat belts.
San Jose, here we come...
We got stuck on a little traffic on our way out of LA. Courtney was looking outside her window.
"Are you alright?" I asked
"I have never been better." She replied with a smile. I love her smile.
"Tell me if you need anything, okay?" I said
"Okay, babe. I mean I- I- I called you babe because you sound like an overprotective boyfriend. I didn't mean to-"
"It's okay Court, that's not a big deal," I said
"Really?" She asked
"Yeah. You called me babe once, like years and years ago, I think that video was with Flitz..." I said as I see that moment, the first time she called me babe, I was left speechless, but this second time around, I want to be speechless, but I can't be, she'll know about my feelings for her and everything will be awkward between us.
"Yeah, I remember that..." She said

Courtney's POV:
I just called Shayne 'babe'. Fuck, what was I thinking? Oh, I wasn't actually thinking. I'm glad that he's fine with it. But, that's that mean that he likes me too? Stop it, Courtney, don't get your hopes up.
"Is it okay if I turn the radio?" He asked
"Yeah," I replied
The song "Somebody out there" by A Rocket to the moon.
After a while, the chorus comes in and Shayne started to sing along
"There's somebody out there who's looking for you, someday he'll find you, I swear that is true. He's gonna kiss you and you'll feel the world stand still. There somebody out there who will~"
"Wow Shayne, I never heard you sing seriously before. You're actually a great singer." I said.
"Stop bluffing, Miller." He said
"No, I'm not bluffing. I was thinking that we could do some duets sometimes." I said
"That would be really nice, " he said
I smiled.
"Seems like we're out of LA, " he said
"Yay!" I said
I rested my head and didn't notice that I was slowly shutting my eyes.

Shayne's POV:
The car ride was slowly getting silent, silence that I can't take. I look at Courtney to see what she was doing, she was actually sleeping. That's what you call sleeping beauty. Cheesy but true, she is sleeping, and she is beautiful.

After an hour...
Courtney's POV:
I woke up and I saw Shayne was getting a little tired from driving.
"Hey, " I said
"Hey, how was your sleep?" He asked
"Good, " I replied
"Stop it right here," I demanded
"Why?" He asked with a very puzzled and confused face.
"I'll drive. I know you're tired, you been driving since forever, " I said
"Are you sure?" He asked
"Yes, I am, " I said
He parked the car in a free lane. We step out of the car. I got inside and landed my butt at the driver's seat, Shayne sits on the passenger seat.
"Thanks, Court." He said
I just nodded. I started driving.
"Take a rest, Shayne, sleep, eat, if you want..." I said
"Yeah, mom, " He said
I chuckled.
He grabs a bag of chips from the backseat. He opens it and takes a piece, he eats it, he takes out another one and reaches it to my mouth.
"You gotta eat, " he said.
I opened my mouth and bite the chip.
"Thanks," I said
He just smiled.
"This reminds me of the time we ate jack in the box in your car." He said
"Yeah, after that my car was a big mess," I said
After that, we finished the bag of chips.
"I'm full now, so I'm going to sleep." He said
"Good night ya big baby!" I said
"Good night ye basic old bitch!" He said
I smack his shoulder, playfully.
"Yeah, but seriously, sleep now," I said
"Okay, see you later." He said
"And also, stop dreaming of me," I said
"Yeah, I won't." He said
I laugh, silently.
