The group was irritated. No one knew anything. No one saw anything, and the cameras also didn't catch anything.
They sent out photos of Keni and the local news stations were reporting Keni's disappearance. There was a hot line set up for anyone who knew anything but all they got was prank calls and bullshit.
Everyone was on edge. All they could do was sit there and wait for something to turn up and they all were praying it wasn't gonna be Keni's dead body, or one limb or something. "Hey why don't we all take separate cars and go drive around. Maybe we'll see her. We can get some food, go to the places she was at most, ask the workers some questions." Hotch had finally spoke up.
Morgan stood up and grabbed keys "we might as well do something and not just sit around here." Everyone got up and piled into two cars; Morgan, Emily and Reid in one and Hotch, Rossi, and JJ in the other. They took separate routes and went to separate places so they would get more done in less time.
The three of them got out and went into the local starbucks Mari said that Keni always went to. They walked up to the cashier and ordered food. After ordering Emily was the first to speak up. "Excuse me but do you know this girl?" She held up a photo of Keni for the worker. The worker, Sara, smiled "Oh ya, that's Keni, she use to always come in here but I haven't seen her in a while. Why is she ok?" "Well no actually. She had been admitted to a mental hospital a few weeks ago but she has disappeared a few days ago so if you know anything please tell us." Emily held up her badge showing Sara her identification.
"I'm not sure if this is anything but Keni use to come in everyday at 2. She'd order a iced vanilla latte and a lemon pound cake. Then everyday at exactly 2:05 a man would walk in and sit at the table behind her. It happened for weeks and she never really noticed. We always made sure to watch him because we thought it was weird." Sara spoke quietly.
Reid was taking mental notes as she was talking making sure to really listen to everything she said. "wait so would he order anything?" Emily asked while Monica shook her head. "Never. He'd come in five minutes after Keni, and immediately sit behind her while she was on her computer I assume doing school or something." Emily smiled and grabbed their coffees "well thank you Sara."
Reid finally spoke up "wait. Do you have security cameras in the store?" She thought for a moment then nodded "do you wanna go back and look at them?" Reid quickly nodded and look at his partners "I'll go really quickly." And he followed Sara to the back room where the camera footage was kept.
