Everyone was doing something; Hotch and Morgan were getting a statement from the gas station worker, JJ was on the phone with Keni's sister Mari, Rossi was talking to the paramedics about Keni's injuries and Reid was standing awkwardly with Keni. He was never good with girls, even if it was for work.
He cleared his throat, trying to find something, anything, to say to the girl but they both just sat there. She was still sat on the ambulance with a blanket around her shivering frame, and he was stood next to her like she asked him to.
Saving spencer from his own awkwardness, Hotch and Rossi came walking up together quietly talking to each other. "So the paramedics said that she's got a few small fractures in a few places and shes malnutritioned as well as dehydrated so they need to take her to the hospital." Rossi spoke up startling the frail girl.
Hitch spoke up in his same hard, cold tone he usually kept. "We will all go back to the Police department and let Keni get taken care of and rested at the hospital." He directed his attention to the girl and continued speaking."We need to ask you questions about everything that happened before and while you were taken, but we'll let you rest tonight."
"C-can he come with me?" Again her voice came out soft and almost so quiet it wasn't audible. She didn't address Spencer by name, only pointed without moving her hand a single centimeter. Hotch's eyes moved from the girl to the tall, awkward agent, silently asking is he would be willing to spend his night in a hospital.
He nodded his head, the three men were surprised at the amount of times she's spoken already, considering her sister and Madison staff said she's never said a word. The three soft and short sentences she's spoken in the hour they've been with her were a shock to them.
"Alright, so you'll go with Miss. Rhodes and we'll see you sometime tomorrow." And with that Hotch and Rossi left with the rest of the team to the department while Spencer and Keni left to the hospital.
