It is the day before the final task and I haven't figured out what it might be I was in posions class sat next to hermiony and Ron. I looked over at draco and he was looking at me I smiled at him and he looked down he keeps saying it's his fault and that I'm going to die because of him. I saw him pull out a piece of paper and write something on it then folded it into a bird and got everyone to pass it to me I opened it
Meet me at the slitherin common room after class -draco
I looked up and nodded at him after class I walked to the slitherin common room and sat on the sofa. Not long after he walked in and ran over to me and hugged me. He looked and me and kissed me.
" I love you" he said almost in tears
" I love you to" i said hugging him
He began crying on my shoulder.
" I'm not going to die" I said " I promise"
" don't make promises you can't keep" he said his head still on my shoulder.
" I've got to go but I won't see you until the end of the last task" I said
" goodbye" he said before kissing me
I got up and walked out the room and walked back to my room and lead down on my bed.
I woke up and put on dracos quidditch hoodie with mafoy written on the back that he'd given me and walked into the hall where dumbledor was stood waiting for me as everyone else was already there.
" now you will walk out following me and don't talk to anyone" he said as we followed him out of the room and up into the corridors we came out of a door Round the side of the castle into a big stadium facing the start of a maze. We walked into sight and the crowd began chanting all our names.
" now when we tell you to you will all enter the maze at the same time in different spots to try and find the triwizard cup but be careful the maze can change you and others" he said and we walked to the edge of the maze in different parts. I looked up at where draco was and he shouted my name before being told to be quiet and I laughed at him.
" silents" dumbledor shouted and the hole place went silent.
" let the final task BEGIN" he shouted
I began walking into the maze down a tight path way I looked up and the bushes went at least twenty feet into the air. I got to a opening and saw Cedric walk down a different path so I followed him being as quiet as possible as to not let him notice. I followed him until it came to a turning he went left and I turned right I saw fleur being swallowed by the maze but I couldn't help because she'd already gone. I saw a glowing blue at the end of my path and I began running toward it I saw Cedric across from me running toward it and I tried to sprint faster. I saw a root grab Cedrics foot and he fell to the floor and i got to the cup.
" y/n" he shouted as the root pulled him into the bush. I hesitated for a second then ran over to him.
" expelliamus" I shouted and pointed my want at the roots they broke and he got up.
" thanks" he said then started running toward the cup I began running as well and caught up to him. We got to the cup and both grabbed it suddenly we appeared in a grave yard inside a circle of people in black robes and had animal skull masks on.
" death eaters" Cedric whispered
One of them lifted there masks it was lusius he walked toward me.
"Get up" he shouted and me and Cedric got up
"Now what are we going to do with you" he said lifting up my chin to face him.
" distracting my son from becoming one of us" he said
" who's this" he said pocking Cedric
" we don't need him"he said pulling out his wand "Avada Kedavra" he said pointing his wand at Cedric. He fell to the floor and lead still.
"No" I shouted and sat by his side
"Crusio" he said and pointed his wand at me.
A sudden wave of pain shot through me and I screamed in pain it felt like someone was stabbing me all over.
" now if you don't leave my son alone you will end up like your friend here" he said still pointing his wand at me. I squirmed about in pain until he stopped I remembered that the cup was a port key and I slowly reached over and grabbed Cedric followed by the cup. Suddenly we where back at the start of the maze again and I began crying and a bunch of people ran to me.
"Cedric" I shouted crying
"What happend" dumbledor said
"Lusius mafoy" I whispered so only he could here. He turned around and looked at the crowd of people and he looked at draco who was walking over to us. I got up and ran to draco and hugged him.
" what happened" he said
"Your farther" I said crying
"What" he said pulling out the hug
Dumbledor came behind us and stood next to us.
" inside now" he said and pulled us inside.
"Tell me what happened" he said
" I was running to the cup when I saw Cedric across from me being dragged into the bush so I saved him and we both grabbed the cup at the same time then" I began crying " we ended up in a grave yard and all the death eaters where there and he killed Cedric and used crusio curse on me then I grabbed the cup and came back here" I said
" did you know your farther was going to do this" dumbledor said
" no but I did wonder why he put her name in the goblet of fire" draco said
"Don't tell anyone what happened either of you" he said and walked off
I hugged draco and cried.
" he told me to stay away from you unless I'd end up like Cedric" I whispered into his shirt
" well have to not be seen together" he said
" yep" I sighed
" I have to go" draco said kissing me on the forehead and walking back outside. A minute later I walked out and saw cedrics dad by his side crying I walked over to him and sat next to him. I lent over and hugged him.
" I'm sorry" I said
" it's not your fault you helped him in the second task" the man said wiping tears off his face.
