Chapter 7

Y/N's POV-

I was sat on the ground, leaning against the main door and heard Jungkook's footsteps leaving from the front yard. I got up and limped my way back upstairs to my bedroom.

'Jungkook... Why did he come here? It's good that he didn't see me like this... I don't want him to...' I thought as I opened my bedroom door and walked to my bed and threw my body on it. The bright noon's sun shone on the floor through the window and cool breeze filled the room. I felt like I was going to pass out so I just gave in and drifted into a deep slumber.

Jungkook's POV-

It was almost evening when I came back to Y/N's house. The medical store was quite far from that area. I bought a bag of medicines and some food from the convenience store. I didn't ring the bell this time and went in through the backyard and to the backdoor which I unlocked by breaking it.

I entered the kitchen from the backdoor and looked around. The house was quite big but nobody was on the ground floor. The kitchen was a mess and so was the hall. Utensils and random things were scattered around and furniture was misplaced, some things were even broken.

I walked to the stairs at the end of the hall and found ashes lying around down there. I quietly went upstairs and opened the door to what seemed like a bedroom. This room was like out of a horror movie. Opened window with torn curtains, carpet stained with smears of blood, a shattered mirror on the ground, some stinky alcohol bottles, etc. A bed with someone lying on it also covered in bruises, cuts and burns, clothes were torn. I went closer to her and gently moved the locks of hair over her face.

"Y/N..." Her face was also covered in wounds. She looked pale and weak. She was sleeping soundly or I could say she was passed out.

I took out a bandage and ointment from the bag I got and started to treat her wounds. After I was done, I sat there on a chair just staring at the ground between us. I couldn't believe what I saw in front of me. How can anyone be this cruel? How can they hurt an innocent person like that? My head was spinning with unanswered questions and my heart ached for that person.

'Once I get my hands on that person, I swear I'll make them regret EVERYTHING!'

I left the food near the bed and went outside through the window because the front door locked from the inside. I taped the back door from inside so no one could break-in as I did.

Y/N's POV-

I woke up when the sun shone from the slits of the curtains on my face from the opened window. I was still in pain from all the wounds but I felt like I was healing. That was because there were bandages on them.

'Who could have done this?' I thought before getting up and walking downstairs. There was no one there but the back door was taped. I assumed that someone broke in, but nothing was gone and the house was a little less messy than last night. 'Why would anyone do that? Unless...'

With that thought striking my head, I ran upstairs to my bedroom again although it was a bit difficult. I looked around and found a bag on my bedside desk. It had a sticky note on it saying 'Jk was here'. Inside were some meds and some convenience store food. I smiled and made myself some ramyeon.

From that day, there would always be a bag of food and medicines hung to my front door. It could only be Jungkook, I knew it but I never actually got the chance to thank him...

A few days later, I came to school and saw everyone chatting, excited about something. Yoonji entered the classroom and as soon as she saw me she rushed towards my desk.
