Chapter 15

Y/N's POV-

I came back to the condo around 8 pm. It was quite late but I didn't see Jungkook home. I sighed as my head spun and I was very tired from work. I sat on the couch resting my head back. I was too tired to take a shower so I dragged myself to the bedroom and threw my body on the soft comforters. And without knowing, I went into a deep sleep.

"Y/N?" I heard Jungkook's voice in my sleep.

"Mmm.." I hummed still sleepy and opened my eyes.

"Here you are. Why did you sleep without changing clothes?" He asked as he sat down beside me on the bed.

"I was sleepy..." I said drowsily.

I tried to get up and sat down. I still felt my head heavy and my body felt hot.

"I have something for you. Close your eyes." Jungkook said excitedly.

"Huh?" I tilted my head.

"Do it." He said.

"Okay okay," I said and I did as he said.

I heard some shuffling in front of me and I suddenly started to smell the fresh and nice fragrance.

"Now open your eyes." I heard Jungkook say.

I opened them slowly only to look at Jungkook holding a small bouquet of roses and a little box containing a beautiful diamond ring. I stared wide-eyed and my breath hitched.

"Happy 3'rd anniversary," Jungkook said smiling softly.

"Jungkook... I-" I thew my arms around him and hugged him.

"You too Kookie, I'm sorry I forgot. I'm really really sorry that I don't have anything for you." I said.

"It's okay baby, I'm just happy to be with you," Jungkook said and hugged me back.

"Now let me put it on you." He said.

I chuckled and nodded before parting from him. Jungkook took my hand and slid the ring on my ring finger. I blushed and smiled as he did.

"Beautiful, right?" He said after he placed a kiss on my hand.

"Yeah, thank you," I said.

'He's so cute. I feel like a fool to think he bought it for someone else. I'm sorry Jungkook, I'm sorry for doubting you. I promise to trust you with all my heart and never misunderstand you again. And next time I won't forget our anniversary and definitely bring you the best gift.'

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too, babe," Jungkook said as he leaned in for a kiss.

We parted after a brief kiss and he placed his hand on my cheek. But then suddenly his expression changed. He frowned and touched my forehead.

"Baby, you're burning up." He said.

"Ah, It must be because I couldn't sleep properly," I said.

"No, now that I notice your eyes are red and your heartbeat is fast too." He said.

"I'm fine Jungkook," I said.

"Are you sure you don't have a fever?" He asked.

He didn't wait for my response and pulled the drawer on the nightstand and took out a digital thermometer. He pressed the reset button on it.

"Aaah." He gestured.

I opened my mouth and he placed it under my tongue. It beeped after a little while and I opened my mouth for him to take it out. Jungkook looked at the readings and sighed.
