Axel

For some reason her name rang a bell. I don't know why but whenever I thought about her name, Lyric, I felt my subconcious trying to tell me something. I shook my head, clearing the thoughts that ran through my head when the teacher read aloud the assigned partners. "Lyric and Sam." She had said. Lyric. It was a unique name but I still felt as if I had heard it before.

For some reason I wasn't comfortable with her and Sam, I preffered her and... Someone else. Not me obviously, she pissed me off. Her and her deranged attitude. But then again her and her sexy motorbike figure. Dayum girl. As soon as I thought that, as though reading my mind Lyric turned around and gave me the finger. Cash nearly pissed his pants near me, he was obviously enjoying the fact that a girl didn't want me. Well Lyric wasn't a girl, she was a lion, tough and scary yet beautiful. Okay I should stop thinking this way, no good thoughts were running through my mind right now.

But why did she hate me? Was it my bad boy persona? Girls usually love that but then again that couldn't be it because look at her! She looks like she's capable of pulling out my guts. So that couldn't be it!

Soon after the bell rang dismissing the class, I came outside to find a pretty redhead waiting for me, all giggles and miniskirt with crop tops and cleavage. I smiled half heartedly at her, "Amber." I greeted. Amber I think was a whole lot different to when she was with her other friend back a few years ago. Them two used to be best buddies and we found them entertaining to bully, but now she had matured and she was completely different, and without her friend to stop her from her insanity, she became another school slut. No offense to her anything. Okay maybe just a little bit.

The other students filed out of the classroom and I watched as Lyric walked out, her head bowed down to retrieve something from her leather tights. She wasn't exactly looking when she turned our way and started heading straight for us and I didn't stop her because I wanted a reason to talk to her. But to my utter surprise, Amber held her hand out stopping Lyric by placing a hand on her head. Lyric jumped back in shock before eyeing me cautiously and then turning to Amber.
"You-" I began before Lyric's eyes widened in recognition and disgust. I stopped talking and watched as Lyric eyed Amber and Amber likewise before Lyric shook her head and commented "Nasty." And walked away.

"What the hell was the about?" I question Amber who was still shell shocked.
"Fuck no." She breathed, moving her palm to cover her chest.
"What?" I asked again, slightly irritated this time round.
"Th-that's the new girl?" She asked. I sighed, slightly annoyed, "Yes and?"
"Wh-th-he-that? Her?" She asked yet again.
"Yes Amber." I replied a little slowly and then asked curiously, "Why? Do you know her?"
She quickly shut her mouth and shook her head, "Gotta run, Axel." She said, scurrying away.

What the hell? What was that all about. I already noticed that Lyric and Amber knew eachother but it doesn't seem that Lyric was interested anymore. What the hell was going on. Oh well, I shrugged and headed for my locker, noticing a couple of people surrounding it. More than the usual anyways. What was up with today. As soon as people saw me coming, they backed away but still watching. Frowning, I shook my head and headed for my locker only to see Lyric shoving books into her locker and then it hit me, she was shoving shit into my locker. My spare locker anyways. What the actual farkk? Everybody knew that nobody was supposed to touch my lockers. Well obviously she didn't but that meant I'd have to teach her a lesson. How do you teach a girl a lesson when you're a guy?

As I began to walk again, people hushed there whispering and began to take their phones out. Typical.
"What are you doing?" I demanded. She either didn't hear me or ignored me completely. "What are you doing?!" I repeated once I was closer and this time she looked up only to find me all up in my space.
"Back off douche." She told me, taking a step back, and the whole croud gasped and the guys half oohed.
"That's right step back." I told her, and I saw her eyes gleam. Even though I couldn't hit her, I could threaten her, scare her, whatever.
"What?" She smiled, "Want me to take a step closer?" She grinned taking a step closer. Okay this was embarrasing, I was supposed to be intimidating her and she was supposed to be intimidated like the rest of the crowd.
"Whatchu gonna do man?" I heard Cash's voice behind me, filled with amusement and I flipped him off. Everybody laughed waiting for my next step and just then, I spotted my favourite jersey and my bag and other belongings on the floor. My eyes widened and the whispers quietened yet again even though I could hear Cash's laughter.
"Are you serious?!" I bellowed, bending to pick up my jersey. I saw Lyric flinch before she regained her composure completely and grinned for everyone to see and shrugged. She was really pissing me off.
"Aww you poor baby." She cooed, "Need a hand there?" And her hand reached out to pat my shoulder when I stood up.
"Don't touch me." I seethed.
"What?" She laughed. "Afraid I might have cooties?"

I closed my eyes for a second longer than needed, calming myself before I couldn't help lashing. "Get out of my face." I told her slowly, "Get lost before I lose it." She should've taken my advice.
"Pretty boy." She teased, "I can handle myself better than you think." And with that she walked off without even glancing once at her audience. Cash snickered but the rest had their eyes on Lyric's retreating figure. I exhaled loudly before picking up my things and shoving it in my locker. My only locker. That girl had only been here for a day but she had already embarrassed me twice and stole my locker. And it wasn't even midday yet!

I stalked off to the cafateria, Cash in tow. "She killed you man!" He snickered.
"Shut up."
"Why? Embarrassed?" He said, laughing even harder. I can't believe she got me into this much shit.
"Shut up man." I repeated. He raised his hands in surrender still chuckling loudly and I was actually in the mood to punch his face into a pulp.
