A/N: This is my first chapter in James' point of view so I hope you like it!

February turned into March, March into April and then April into May and Elle still hadn't returned to Hogwarts. We also hadn't had one single letter from her, but I knew what her parents were like. They hated her having contact with me, Lola, Luke and Fred whilst she was at home. We didn't know why, not even Elle knew why. She had strange parents.

"James you need to stop sulking, I'm sure that Elle is fine." Lola reassured me.

The days that followed Elle's departure had been hard for us all, especially Lola. It was like she knew something that the rest of us didn't, besides Luke of course. He always seemed to figure everything out. She in particular was the most upset out of all of us and when Fred or I would mention that she was coming back soon, she'd just cry more or sulk. She definitely knew something and I was going to get to the bottom of it.

As Lola was so upset, Luke had been comforting her like he knew the same thing that she did. I heard him reassuring her that it would all be okay and that she'd see Elle again like she wasn't coming back. It didn't make sense. From this, the two of them had created a relationship and they helped each other get over their sadness. They finally admitted their feelings for each other and we're now in a relationship. They were good for each other and I was happy for them.

"I'm not sulking Lola! I'm fine." I replied, taking small bites of my toast.

"James we all know that you aren't fine. I've never seen you like this before and I've known you my whole life." Albus had decided to sit with us today along with Rose and Scorpius.

"I'm not depressed Al, if that's what you're getting at. I just miss her." I sighed.

"We all do mate." Fred reassured me.

"I know." I nodded.

"It just doesn't make much sense. Why would her parents take her away in her most important year at school? It's May now, she's been gone for three months and we haven't heard a thing from her. Why would she come back so close to the end of the school year anyway, it doesn't make sense." Rose spoke, sounding a lot like Aunt Hermione.

"Rose is right, it doesn't make sense." Scorpius agreed.

"It's not a bad point to be fair." Fred shrugged. Throughout the whole conversation, my eyes were glued to Luke and Lola who were shuffling nervously in their seats. So they did know something.

"What do you know?" I blurted out. I needed to know. It was eating away at me.

"What do you mean mate?" Luke asked. Damn he was a good actor.

"You both know something, you've been shuffling around throughout our whole conversation and sharing nervous glances with each other." I narrowed my eyes at them.

"Oh James, she didn't want to hurt you, any of you." Lola began to cry, her head resting on the table.

"What? What is it?" My heart fell down into my stomach. Was she hurt? Was something wrong with her?

"Mate you can't blame us if we tell you. She made us promise and I wasn't even supposed to know, I guessed." Luke sighed, his eyes falling to the table as he stroked Lola's back comfortingly.

"Just tell us Luke." I was in the edge of my seat, sat waiting for the news.

"On the back of the letter that her parents sent, there was a small note that said they had to talk about Elle's curse. And it wasn't the curse that she has with you James, it's another one. That's why her parents took her home. They needed to talk about it." Lola explained.
