Chapter 10
Ruy's POV
I knew Pandora or I should say Miran was back from her daily Foxfire spy mission, so I am now walking to her room. I reached her door and knocked on the door. No answer came and I thought that she might be somewhere else. I opened the door and saw Pandora slumped on the floor with her eyes glazed over. She was beginning to grow taller with her frizzy hair turning into smooth caramel hair, her lapis eyes were turning into hazel, and her chocolate brown skin was changing into light olive skin. I grabbed her by the waist and she was surprisingly light. I laid her onto a nearby white couch and sat on a chair across from her. I stroked the stray hairs out of her eyes and smiled to myself. I was about to do something when Pandora gasped and shot straight up. She looked around in distress and when her eyes locked onto me she flashed one of her beautiful smiles. Now that I could see her features more clearly she had long caramel hair, bright hazel eyes, light olive skin, and delicate features that looked like they were carefully crafted. To put it simply, she's beautiful. Pandora then ran into her pool and disappeared. A second later she stepped out of the pool in a Neverseen cloak, but her mask was noticeably absent.
"Thanks for putting me on that couch. I can imagine I gave you quite the scare,"
"You did," I responded.
"Also did you forget your addler or did you drop it while moving me?"
I checked my pocket and sure enough my addler was gone. I must have forgotten it when I was getting ready to see Pandora.
"I guess I did,"
Pandora laughed. A long rich sort of laugh.
"So it's true that you love me, right?"
I felt my cheeks flame, "No."
"Well since your addler's gone I can tell your blushing,"
I sighed and looked right into her kind hazel eyes. I wanted to tell her so bad that I liked her, but I'm way out of her league.
"Look, Ruy. I know that you love me and all, but I don't want to get into the whole love thing yet. It gets in the way of my plans and I can't let a silly thing like Matchmaking control my life. Maybe after this war is over we can talk, but not right now,"
I felt like a half of my heart just floated away. She did admit that she has feelings about me, but she doesn't want to do it now. I swallowed and stepped closer to her.
"Well if you want it to be that way then I'll wait for you and we can do this at the end,"
"Thanks for understanding," Pandora whispered.
Then before I could say anything she kissed me on the cheek. Pandora smiled as she backed away.
"I hope that shows you that I'll take it slow to,"
"It does,"
Pandora waved a finger across her face and the usual creepy black mask appeared across her face. She turned around and sat on her meditation rock. Pandora then let out a few sighs and I left never feeling so weird in my life.
