Chapter 11

Pandora's POV

Right now I'm standing at the entrance to Alluvettere with Fintan, Trix, Ruy, and Gethen. I can't believe I'm going to get captured on purpose. I even had to leave behind my Limbium gun and Moon daggers.

Ready? Gethen transmitted.

I don't know. I thought

Well we're going in either way.

Great. I mentally rolled my eyes.

Gethen severed the connection and we walked into Alluvettere. Imagine a ghost town, burned down with no light except Fintan's fireball. There was nothing everywhere we looked and I was beginning to wonder if the Black Swan chickened out.

I found something. Gethen transmitted.

What is it? I thought.

A hole, but there is light at the end.

Be right there.

Gethen severed the connection and I used the water particles in the air to track him. I found him in less than a second and took off at a running pace. After a minute I found him with Fintan, Trix, and Ruy. I looked down the hole and it led straight down with balefire crystals lining a distant wall. With no regret I jumped into the hole and landed on my feet before continuing my journey. I heard some yelps and I turned around to find Fintan, Trix, Ruy, and Gethen on the ground in a pile.

"Way to stick a landing," I teased.

"Never say anything about this," Fintan grumbled.

"I know Navy will be keen to spread the word. She finds out about everything,"

"That's why she's a pain," Gethen commented.

"Good point. Now let's go,"

I walked through the tunnel and ended up in a hollowed out room. There was a device on the wall and it was shining lights around everywhere.

"Force field blocker. You're trapped," Dex said, coming out of the shadows.

"Well good luck," Ruy whispered.

Fintan, Trix, Ruy, and Gethen held up a purple crystal and leaped away. The thing with purple crystals is that they don't need light to form a path of light. I turned to face the Collective, Sophie, and her friends. I smiled under my mask and grabbed a vial of poison. I formed an ice dagger, put the poison in quickly, and held out my hand. The black ice dagger flew toward my target and I heard a crack. Wylie stood with a dagger out of his chest and his eyes were slowly turning black. He stole one last glance at Granite before the darkness took over his eyes and he fell to the ground unconscious.

"WYLIE!" Granite shouted.

What a shame for someone like him to go to waste.

"You don't even care about him. You monster!" Granite yelled at me.

No you're the monster.

Shadowflux spilled out of me and I made thousands of arrows out of it. Just as fast as I made them they were destroyed by Tam.

Interesting.
