It's one of their kind
Yoongi rubbed his hands together. The gloves seemed to be failing against the cold of January winter. It was getting close to evening when he was walking back home. It had been two days since the realization, and Yoongi still wary about it. The thought that Jimin's life rested in his hands stole the sleep from him at night.
His eyes suddenly fell on the flower shop on the other side of the road. He wanted to buy flowers once again. But this time, not for himself. Several flowers all laid out in front of him to choose from. And it made it hard, because all the colors caught his eyes.
His eyes fell on the roses momentarily. Frowning the moment, he saw the red ones. Too bland and cliché. Then he saw the Silver Sterling Roses. He learnt about them once and loved them at once. They were a thorn-less kind. But Yoongi sometimes thought, they should have thorns, otherwise they are just too perfect.
But at the same time, they were so frail. It wasn't easy to grow Sterling roses. And they reminded of Jimin in every sense. Perfect in a way other couldn't see because they were too busy admiring the red roses. Frail but so strong.
"I'll take that one" Yoongi said to the shop keeper, pointing towards the bunch of flowers.
He sniffed on the roses as he walked of the store. He knew Jimin would love them. So, he picked up his pace as he walked back home. Just as he entered the apartment, he left the essence of Light's power. It wasn't strong. Fading. Yoongi sighed knowing Jimin had used his powers a while back.
He ignored the itching urge in his hand to use power and called for the younger. Jimin appeared from his, Yoongi's room, with a smile on his face. The elder guessed he was looking for the star map once again.
Jimin waddled his way to Yoongi while the elder held his breath back. The way from his room to where he was standing was a bit difficult. Jimin could end up hitting himself or tripping. He broke into a smile, pride swelling his heart when Jimin reach him and pulled in him into a hug.
"Here, I have something for you" Yoongi said, putting the bouquet in Jimin's hand.
The younger raised his eyebrow in wonder as he felt the object in his hand. While he did so, Yoongi went to remove his coat.
"Are these roses?" Jimin asked, taking a sniff.
"Yes"
"These aren't the normal red ones... the smell is much sweeter and citrusy" Jimin mumbled, touching the petals, "Oh! Oh! Oh! I know these! It's the thornless one! Uh.... What were they called again... oh! Right! Sterling roses!"
Yoongi chuckled and ruffled his hair, "Yep, these are sterling roses"
Jimin grinned widely and went to them in a vase. Yoongi kept a close watch while the younger to make sure Jimin didn't break the glass and hurt himself.
