Till the End of Time
Jimin ran his finger over his hands. The skin was dry. Dying. The fissures that formed every now and then didn't heal properly. As Namjoon had said, Jimin looked like he was slowly dying. But for the others, it looked at as bad as being sleep deprived. Yoongi's voice flowed through the earphones, filling his mind.
It was late in the evening. Jimin felt the bed next to him one last time before removing the earbuds and closing his eyes. With the amount of life left inside him. This was the last time he could visit the Edge. And once he leaves. He probably won't be able to come back.
Jimin sighed, letting sleep take over him.
Light stumbled across the dark region. The mist covering his vision. He didn't know where he was going. Or even if he was going somewhere. For sometime it felt like he was walking in circles.
The halo around him was basically undistinguishable from the rest of his body. The colors weren't bright anymore. More greyish. Like old paints, dried off and layered with dust. He coughed. His legs shaking.
He tried to ignored the scream of the souls around him. He didn't know how long he had been here. An hour? Maybe more. He coughed. Legs shaking. His vision blurred in as he fell down to his knees.
In that moment Light realized that the screams had gotten louder. When he looked around, he saw all of them surrounding him. Even though Light was weak. His essence was still stronger than theirs.
They were waiting to jump on him and shred him off his essence once and for all. Light had enough strength to ward them off but he didn't make the effort for it. He gave up. It wasn't physically and mentally possible for him to continue any further. He wanted it to over with. So, he closed eyes and waited for his demise.
"Don't dare to touch him, you filthy scums!"
Light's eyes snapped open when he heard the voice. He looked up to find a shadowy figure standing in front of him. They were both inside a bubble. The aura of it was icky. And resembled more od death.
"Yoon-Yoongi?" He stuttered, unable to believe his eyes.
The souls screamed angrily before vanishing away. Then, the shadowy figured turned around. Light almost burst into tears when he saw the face. Immediately he reached forward and cupped the other's face.
"It's you..." Jimin whispered, "It's really you"
Darkness smiled softly and nodded. Then, he slowly pushed away Light's hand because he knew the other was trying to share his powers with him.
