Important AN at the end. I recommend reading it, but do what you want.
...
You'll be lost if you don't.
I shove passed Mr. Stotch and head for the stairs. "What the..? Hey! Get out! Butters is grounded! He can't come out to play." He says in a less calm voice than before.
I turn around to face him with a death glare. "Why is he grounded?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"Because he already plays with his friends too much-"
"And that, my friend, is a stupid fucking reason."
"Excuse me!?"
"You should be happy that he has friends to play with! You ground him for stupid reasons! I can't believe he hasn't tried to fight back! You should not fucking treat him like that!"
I hear footsteps behind me, but I ignore it and keep going.
"You make him believe that everything he does is wrong, and that is not acceptable! You're abusing him mentally! You need to be kinder to him, or he'll turn away from you when he's older. You will lose your only child."
It's quiet for a few seconds. Mr. Stotch's wide eyes turn into a furious glare.
"Who do you think you are!? Coming into my home and telling me how to treat my son!? Are you asking for a fight!?" He screams as he gets into a fighting stance.
Chaos all of a sudden comes running from the stairs and gets in front of me protectively. "Dad! Don't hurt her!" He says in an angry, but squeaky voice.
My eyes go wide. He was standing up to his dad... For me! That is just so adorable and sweet!
His dad stares at him in complete and utter shock. "Wh-Wha..?" He stutters, but then gets into his angry fatherly persona, "Butters! I am so disappointed in you! Hanging out with delinquents! I should ground you for life!"
Chaos starts internally panicking. He's visually shaking. "Sh-she's not a d-delinquent. She's m-my friend!"
"I don't care! You're grounded mister! Go to your room! And you! Get out of my house!" He screams the last part at me.
Chaos's shaking form turns and he slowly starts walking towards the stairs, but before he can take another step, I grab the back of his shirt. He looks at me in sad confusion, but I ignore it.
"No. I don't care if you are his parent. You don't get to talk to my friend like that." I say in a low, aggressive tone. I'm ready to fight and argue for as long as this takes.
Mr. Stotch gets this look on his face that tells me he's never been talked to like this before. I hold in a laugh as I glance in Chaos's direction to see his widened eyes and a pink hue across his cheeks.
I ignore it and look back at Mr. Stotch just in time to dodge a punch. Wtf!? Is everybody looking for a fight!? I get in a defensive stance and as quickly as possible, kick Mr. Stotch in his junk. "FUCK!" He screams as he holds his crotch and falls.
I grab Chaos's hand and run out of the house and towards the U-Stor-It. We get there, and I finally slow down and let both Chaos and I breath.
When we get the air we needed into our lungs, we start walking again. "I... I can't go home now.. My dad is gonna be so angry." Chaos finally says as he holds back sobs.
"You can stay with me for a while. I'm sure my guardian won't mind." I say as we continue to the office in which the cat is being held.
He stops walking, which makes me stop. I forgot we were holding hands. I look at him in confusion, and notice his teary eyed, panicked face. "You... You'd let me stay with you? B-b-but then I'd know your identity!"
"I don't care. He shouldn't treat you the way he does. If getting you away from him for a little bit means giving away my identity, then sign me up." I reply with a soft smile.
The pink hue returns to his cheeks, but I ignore it and start pulling him to the office again. Once we make it there, we enter and hear a low meow. The cat comes out from behind the desk and lays down, falling asleep in the process.
Chaos goes to the intercom and dismisses all the on duty minions then turns to me. "Let's return the cat to its owner, then go to your house. I'm tired."
I nod in agreement and bend down to grab the cat and follow behind him as he leads me to the address that was hanging on the collar of the cat.
30 minutes of searching for this house, and avoiding the hero's, (who were looking for us) later and we finally find it. We go up to the door and knock.
A few seconds of waiting and the door opens to reveal an 80 somethin year old lady. "Aw dang... Is it Halloween already? I don't have any candy. I'm sorry kids." She says.
"No ma'am. We believe this is your cat?" I ask as I hold up the cat.
She takes a good look before her face fills with joy, "You found my dear Scrambles! Come here kitty kitty!" She gushes as she grabs the cat and starts to tickle its belly.
Scrambles goes on to scratch the shit out of her face and bites her hand several different times. "Aren't you a good kitty?" She baby talks it then puts it down and let's it run off to somewhere in the house as if she wasn't bleeding everywhere.
"Thats right! You good kids found my kitty. Now here's your reward!" She says as she picks up her wallet off of the small table next to her and pulls out 5 twenty dollar bills and hands them to me.
After she hands me the bills, she slams the door and we hear her yell, "Come here Scrambles!"
Chaos and I just stare at each other for a moment before giving awkward smiles. That lady was weird.
I hand him the bills and start walking down the driveway. "Wait! You need some of this money too!" He yells after me.
I look back at him, "Naw. You need it more. Since your not being payed anymore by the anonymous person who wanted us to hide those druggies, you barely have enough to pay the minions. Plus, I'm no longer in it for the money. This is a fun game."
He stays silent for a moment then smiles. "W-why thank you Static. You're the best minio- I mean friend! I've ever had."
I smile back. "Now let's head back to my house. Its been a long day."
Yes! A chapter! If you couldn't tell, I died again. Also, holy shit! 17k reads! Wtf is wrong with you guys!? There are much better books out there than this one, but you still chose this!? Why!? XD I'm grateful tho.

Now onto the important AN I mentioned in the beginning. I honestly had absolutely no plan when making this book. Like 0 plan. I've been winging it and I'll still be winging it after this, but I've had an idea. It's a bit crazy. Not really, but yes really.
You know the Stick of truth? How it was an amazingly fantastical beautifully done game? Well, I've decided to put that in this story too. Not for a few more chapters, but soon. Like, they just switch the game. Not a weird thing where I'm just done with superheros and start a whole different book in the same book. That's just dumb.
The reason I'm telling you this, is because in the next few days, I'm gonna be changing the cover, title, and description. And if/when you look for my book (don't know why you would want to), and it doesn't appear to be anywhere, I want you keep this in mind.
Anyway, I love you all! Thanks for reading my Ted talk.
