Tanner
She leaned up from where she was placed. Her dark eyes were set on mine and I felt like I was underwater with no air. I wasn't the only one as I felt her soft breath stop touching me.
"Tanner?"
Her voice was soft and almost not there. I felt my breathing get deeper. My chest was aching for air that kept escaping.
"Huh?" I asked as I cupped her face.
She breathed as she leaned into it. With her eyes closed, I watched as her tongue came out to wet her dry lips.
My eyes stayed stuck on them. They were mesmerizing even as they dried up quickly. They weren't perfect, parts were pealing from her habit of picking the skin off, but they were hers and it made it perfect.
Perfectly imperfect.
She leaned up as I leaned down. This was the moment when everything changed. Hopefully, it was a good change because I don't know what I would do if she didn't get what she wanted out of our first kiss.
We didn't touch lips though. We teased each other. Her nose rubbed against mine as she sat up more. Without hesitation, I pulled her to straddle my lap. Our breathing got mingled together as we were in close proximity together.
Her knees dug into the mattress on either side of my thighs. I brought my hand up her back, outside of her shirt, to take her hair down. It was a bit of a struggle but I eventually got her tight ponytail down so that her hair cascaded over her shoulders. The light hitting her hair made it shine a bit lighter brown, just like her eyes.
I heard her gulp as my hand stretched to push the hairband down on my wrist. I reached up for her hair as she set her hands on my shoulder. Finally sitting, her eyes met mine. A bright pink blush was on her face and I liked the sight of it.
I liked knowing that I could do that. Bringing my hand back up to her face, she leaned back into my hold. My heart was racing so fast that I felt it in my chest and everywhere in my body. I wondered if she could feel it in my hand.
A small little nod of her head was all it took. She grasped my shoulders as I leaned just enough to touch my lips to her rough ones. She tensed up, I had expected that, as I moved my lips against hers.
This was new to her so I would have to teach her. But I didn't know how to describe kissing her. It was new to me. I had never kissed someone I had liked so much.
I have never kissed someone who I loved.
Time seemed to escape us. All I knew were her hands on my shoulders, gripping them tightly, as the kiss got heated. Each time it did, it would simmer down softly, as if it knew that things were still new. Our lips knew that we didn't want to burn too fast, we weren't shooting stars to each other, we were permanent like the sun.
We were dust without the other. Dust and rubble that had yet to touch. We had been orbiting around each other from our fence to texts. Late-night holds and phone calls. And then we got closer and closer these past few weeks.
Until now, where we have finally gotten to know the other person. We were finally able to crash and become a brighter star. Together we had formed our own star out of our broken and shattered pieces.
Her hand reached up into my hair and since it was growing on the longer side, she was able to tug it into her hand. My hands followed her movements as mine went into hers to hold her to me. I couldn't get enough of her.
I found myself thirsty for more of her. I was given a taste and I was needing more to stay alive. For how long we had been talking, I don't know how I had ever lived without it. This was a different kind of thirst.
Because I don't think that it would ever be satiated.

A/N:
Love a person who says you're like a supernova when you kiss. You get them so heated, they explode with excitement for more.
