it was finally thursday , the day they would be announcing the three competitors for the triwizard tournaments. draco , blaise , olivia and i strolled into the room where the cup was being held, it had some sort of age barrier wrapped around it in a gray colored smoke "who do you think is going to be hogwarts' competitor," blaize asked , looking around the room at the students writing their names on their slips of parchment. just as he said that cedric diggory was being pushed to the cup by his classmates , he folded up his parchment and threw it into the fire , looking o' so proud of himself. "diggory seems like a good option to root for" i said looking back over to blaise "glad you think so, riddle" cedric said from behind me , i quickly turned around giving him a soft smile , he winked at me and then walked back to his friends . i spun back on my heels turning back towards my friends , them all looking rather confused. "are you guys friends?" olivia asked glancing between the two of us , i could see draco getting visibly upset, by the way the top of his ears were flushed a ruby shade of red. "i wouldn't necessarily say that , that's the first time we've ever spoken" i said , almost as confused as they were.
we went and sat on the steps , watching people flood in and out of the room until one point when the weasley twins came in the room and applause erupted from people around us as they held a potion up in the air. i moved my head up from where it was rested on draco's shoulder to watch the scene unravel. hermione argued it wouldn't work , but the twins downed the potions and stepped right through the age barrier , i was shocked to say the least , everyone clapped for them again , this time i joined in on it. they put their parchments into the fire and it seemed normal for a moment before blue fire began shooting out from inside the cup, draco grabbed my hand and we ran out of the room, with blaise and olivia close behind us.

i was sat outside under one of the towering trees , reading from one of my textbooks , when i heard a voice come up towards me. "hey riddle" cedric said sitting down next to me , i looked over surprised he was even talking to me , most people wouldn't after hearing all the rumors going around. "hi cedric" i said with a small smile , closing up the book in my hands. "what are you working on" he said glancing down at my neatly written notes that were now tossed to the side. "oh-uh, just some potions homework, you know how snape is" i said letting out a nervous laugh , me and cedric have never had a conversation my entire time at hogwarts , what was so different about today? he nodded "just wanted to chat with my number one supporter" he said with a laugh nudging my arm slightly , i somehow felt all my anxieties leave my body and let out a normal laugh. we began to chat about anything and everything. learning everything there is to know about the hufflepuff boy , that he was a pureblood , he was one of the hufflepuff prefect , and he wanted to be an auror after hogwarts. we talked for what felt like hours before i heard someone stomping towards us , i looked up to see a quite furious draco, who pulled on my arm for me to get up , glaring daggers between me and cedric. cedric cleared his throat , picking up his bag before walking off "i've been looking for you forever riddle" he said pulling more on my arm , i tried to collect my books and put them away as i was being pulled away violently by the blonde "obviously not that well , i sit here to do my homework almost every day draco" i said pulling my arm away and looking up at him , "didn't look like you were doing much homework" he scoffed & rolled his eyes , gripping once more onto my arm and pulling me towards the slytherin common rooms "you're not seriously jealous are you" i said in disbelief after we finally arrived in front of the entrance "i'm not jealous, i just don't like the sight of my girlfriend practically snogging some other guy" he sneered releasing his grip from my arm to throw his hands up dramatically , "must i remind you malfoy , you cheated on me , i have never done anything to make you believe me to be unfaithful" i said anger dropping from my words as i glared at the blonde haired boy , both of us practically fuming with anger. "you can't seriously still be upset by that, it was months ago" he said rolling his eyes , i huffed angrily and stomped into the common room , running up to my dorm, hearing footsteps approaching quickly behind me. i threw myself onto the bed letting out an exasperated sigh , engulfing myself into the blankets. "what happened with him?" olivia said sitting down next to me, i sat up to face her , trying to compose my anger , being able to faintly hear draco bitching down in the common room to crabbe and goyle "i was just having a chat with cedric , and he came and practically dragged me away yelling at me about 'almost snogging cedric', ugh! as if. he's crazy , he's absolutely mental , he's the one who cheated on me , twice!" i said flailing my hands about trying to explain the situation without steam pouring from my ears and my blood beginning to boil. she looked at me with a sympathetic look moving my hands down from whatever dramatic motion they were in at the time "i'm sorry love, i don't know why he's acting out like this ." she said with a small frown on her face , draco wasn't usually like this , at least not towards me. but i'm not going to let him walk all over me and make me out to be the bad guy in every situation.
