The guards brought me to the front entrance of the castle where I was greeted by Finn. He was wearing a dark blue blouse and jeans. His hair wasn't tied back, so it just fell loosely around his shoulders.

He looked between me and the guards with a smirk," Got caught trying to run away again already ?"

I scowled at him," No, I was coming back from seeing someone."

Finn narrowed his eyes at me before looking back at the guards, who seemed to flinch when he raised his hand to shoo them off," Leave us."

" But Prince, this girl is -" One particularly brave guard tried to speak up.

" She is my sister." Finn snapped at him," Now get out of my sight before I have you all fired for gross incompetence!" His eyes flared red.

The guards stiffened behind me, I could feel them stare at me for a moment before they turned tail and jogged back to their posts in the woods surrounding the castle.

" Did you mean to help me out ?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

Finn scoffed," I just need to speak with you and they were in my way."

Damn, he got rid of the potential witnesses.

I narrowed my eyes at him," What makes you think I'd want to talk with you after you tried to kill me two nights ago ?"

" Quit being dramatic, it's not like I held a knife to your throat."

" Yeah, but I'd hardly call it a loving sibling heart to heart." I placed a finger on my chin," Didn't you call me your rival or something ?"

" If I considered you my rival, I'd only be insulting my own strength."

" Wow, and with that convincing argument, I think I'll give you this," I threw up my middle finger," And tell you that I could give fuck all about whatever you wanted to speak to me about." I turned around to walk back into the woods.

Damned guards should've taken me to the back entrance to begin with. I groaned.

My arm was suddenly tugged backwards, and I stumbled into someone's chest. I looked up with a scowl at Finn, who looked like he was trying to mirror my face.

" Stop being difficult."

I scoffed and swept my leg under his, causing him to stumble and release my arm.

" Me telling you no isn't me 'being difficult', you refusing to accept me turning you down when you're being rude is 'being difficult'." I growled," But then again, you've been nothing but difficult since we were kids I swear - "

Finn interrupted me," You should leave."

I cocked my head to the side and laughed.

" You think I'd still be here if I could ?"

" I know father is using the Wild pack as leverage, but when it comes down to your life or theirs, are you really that much of an altruist ?" His silver eyes shone.

" I'm not going to do anything to risk their lives, I owe them at least that much."

" You know you could really stand to be a bit more selfish. You'd live longer."

" What's that supposed to mean ?"

" And people call me an idiot." His right eye twitched as he pointed at me," Look, I might despise you, but I haven't lied to you. The same can't be said about everyone else you hang around with."

" Do you really think I believe anything you say ?"

" I - goddess you're dense." He pinched the bridge of his nose," None of this is about you! It's never been about you."
