Franki's POV"Congrats girls!!" Kiara raised her shot glass.
"Cheers!" We all clinked our glasses to celebrate their win.
It was an intense beer pong match and I lost count of how many times I screamed throughout the game. They made me promise to join them next time.
I didn't expect that I would enjoy this night. I admit, I missed going out. I never imagined it would be this fun to hang out with the girls outside school and it made me look forward to more nights out with them.
I even got a chance to talk to Jen and found out she's really nice. She's so genuine, proper, smart and mature and it's as if she doesn't have a bad bone in her body.
Now I understand why Diana's very fond of her. And for the first time, I suddenly regretted all those times that I acted like a brat. Wish I had a better, lovable personality like Jen.
"Where have you been?" Abi asked as Camille made her way and sat back on the couch.
"Sorry guys, tumawag jowa ko. (My boyfriend called.)"
"Ay, sana all may jowa." Abi retorted and we all giggled.
"Onga sana all." Diana quipped before taking another sip of her beer.
"Hoy. Wait lang." Abi fixed her gaze at Diana and Jen. "What's the real score between you two? Kayo na ba ulit? (Are you back together?)"
Diana and Jen shared a look.
What's that look?
I suddenly found myself wanting to go to the restroom so I won't hear what they're about to say but I was frozen in my seat.
Come on, Franki. You know you want to know.
Jen cleared her throat. "No, girls. We're not back together." She smiled at Diana then averted her gaze back to us. "We already had that talk and it's clear where we stand in each other's lives."
Diana nodded her head in agreement.
"But, if you must know," Jen continued, "Diana is my the one that got away. My totga." She beamed.
"Uuuuyyy!!" The girls teased them.
A blush formed on Diana's cheeks and I don't know if it was because of Jen's admission or because of the alcohol.
It must be the alcohol.
The girls continued teasing them to the point where Jen had to ask them to stop already. "Oy, tigil na. Nahihiya na si Dee. (Stop it already. Dee's getting embarrassed.) She pinched Diana's cheek. "Change topic."
"Okay, okay!" Abi exclaimed as soon as she recovered from her laugh. "Franki, what about you?" She turned to face me. "You haven't really opened up to us. Do you have a boyfriend? A girlfriend? Are you single?"
"Oh. I'm definitely single." I smiled shyly. "No boyfriend, no girlfriend either."
"Yeah but she has a lot of girl crushes!" Kiara quipped. I think she's a bit tipsy now.
"Well who doesn't have girl crushes right?" And in that moment, I swear, I didn't mean to, but I looked right at Diana and we locked eyes.
I quickly shifted my gaze away from her.
