As time went one, I saw less and less of Vern and Teddy, until they just became two more faces in the hallway. That happens sometimes. Friends come in and out of you life like busboys in a restaurant. I heard Vern got married outta high school, had four kids, and is now the forklift operator at The Arsenal Lumberyard. Teddy tried several times to get into the army, but his eyes and his ears kept him out. The last I heard, he'd spent some time in jail and was now working odd jobs around Castle Rock. Of course I miss them.
