*in this chapter gordie says the r-word so i'll just be putting 'stupid' :) i don't wanna offend anyone*

We were throwing rocks in a can when Teddy asked, "Hey, you guys been watching the Mickey Mouse club lately?" We all responded with a yes. "I think Annettes tits are getting bigger," Teddy implies. At the time I didn't pay much attention to what they were saying.
Think so?" Chris asked. "Yeah!" Teddy said. "Yeah! I think he's right, I've been noticing the A and the E are starting to bend around the side!" Gordie laughed and so did the other boys. "Annettes tits are great," Vern said in a dazed look. The guys agreed. I looked up, because I had noticed it was very quiet, and I saw all of the boys staring at my tits! "Fuck off!" I told them and threw a small pebble. Teddy started doing his cackle and the others laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"This is really a good time!" Vern said looking at us. "The most," Chris agreed as he threw a rock in the can. "A blast!" Teddy said loudly.
Vern didn't just mean being off limits in the junkyard or fudging on our folks or hiking up the railroad tracks to Harlow. He meant those things but it seems to me now that it was more, and that we all knew it. Everything was there and around us. We knew exactly who we were and exactly where we were going. It was grand.
We started spitting our water into the cans also. Teddy was about to spit the water into the can but instead switched and the last moment and spit it at Vern. We all about died laughing.
"Oh great! Spit at the fat kid! Real good!" Vern complained. "What time is it Gordie?" Vern asked, still annoyed. Gordie pulled out his small watch. "It's a quarter after 1:00," He told him. "We better go get the food! Junkyard opens at 3:00! Chopper will be here," Vern said with a worried look. "Ooh! Sic balls!" I mocked. "You go! You can pick us up on the way back!" Teddy told him. "I'm not going alone! We should all go!" Vern suggested. "Oh I'm staying right here!" Teddy said stubbornly. We all argued saying that we weren't going.
"Girls! Girls! Cool it! Let's flip for it!" Chris suggested. "Ok," I said as I pulled out the coins. "Odd man goes," I said. "That's you Y/N! Odd as a cod!" Teddy teased. "Flip or eat led!" I shot back.
We all flipped our coins and put our hands together. We all revealed what we got at the same time. "Four tails! Oh man! That's a goocher!" Vern warned.
"Oh come on Vern that doesn't mean anything!" Chris said and all of us agreed with him. "No man! A goocher, that's really bad!" He said very seriously. "You remember when Clint Bracken and those guys got wiped out on Weed Hill in Durham? Billy told me they were flipping for beers and they came up with a goocher just before they got into the car. And bang! They all got totaled! I don't like this. sincerely." Vern explained to us.
"Verno! Nobody believes all that crap about moons and goochers! It's baby stuff! Now come on. Flip again," Teddy told him. We all flipped except for Vern.
"You gonna flip or not?" Teddy asked. "C'mon Vern, we don't have all day," I said, trying to persuade him. He finally flipped and we revealed what our coins said.
"You lose! Gordie loses! Oh Gordie just screwed the pooch!" Teddy cackled. "Does the word 'stupid' mean anything to you?" Gordie asked. Teddy sighed and said, "Oh Gordie! Go get the provisions you morphodite!" I rolled my eyes. Teddy was always saying things like that.
"Don't call me any of your mothers pet names!" Gordie shot back as he stood up. "What a wet-end you are, Lachance!" Teddy said cackling. "Shut up!" Gordie said.
We all knew he messed up. Even he knew it. "I don't shut up!" Teddy started and the rest of us chimed in, "I grow up, and when I look and you, I throw up!" We all made gagging sounds and put our fingers in our mouth.
As we were all laughing I heard Gordie say, "And them your mother goes around the corner and she licks it up!" He said with a sneer.
We all cheered him on and started tackling each other as he walked away to get the food.
Finding new and preferably disgusting ways to degrade a friends mother was always held in high regard.
While Gordie was gone, we continued to spit out water into the can, and sometimes on each other.
