Adam sat in class doodling while glancing at his wrist watch, waiting for the bell to ring. It was two twenty-eight. School gets out at two thirty. "Only two more minuets", Adam thought as he continued to add details to a funny drawing of his teacher.
"Adam Young are you listening to what I'm saying?" His teacher, Mrs. Mills asked.
He looked up and he said, "uhhh" and the whole class snickered. Adam's face grew hot with embarrassment and shame as Mrs. Mills seems to drill holes into Adam soul with her brown eyes. Her forehead had angry wrinkles as she scowled at him. He eventually thought of something to say.
"N-no ma'am. I-I was drawing," said Adam, suddenly regretting the disrespectful drawing of his teacher.
"I'd like you to show the class, right now," Mrs. Mills said sternly.

Without question, Adam obeyed and he slowly shuffled up by his teacher. He reached the front of the class and he showed the picture to everyone. The picture was of Mrs. Mills running up and down hills saying random insults about his classmates. Adam depicted her looking insane and the whole class laughed. Then, Mrs. Mills took the drawing from Adam and she crumpled it up. She glared at him.
"Adam go to the principals office right now," Mrs. Mills instructed.
"Yes ma'am," replied Adam softly.
Adam sighed as he headed towards the door and his classmates were teasing him. "I deserve this," he thought as he walked out just as the bell rang.

Adam fought his way through the crowd of students as they went home but he had to go to the stupid principals office. He hated his teacher. He hated school. Adam hated his life. He wished special agents were real.
"If they were real," he said to himself, "I'd call myself-"
He was cut off when he heard the principal say,
"Mr. Young in my office right now."

Adam went in and he sat in a chair in front of Principal Daniel Jorgensen's desk.
"Mrs. Mills told me you drew another disrespectful drawing of her again," he said to Adam, "it's been....what I'd say thirteen in the past month?"
Adam nodded his head 'yes' and he stared at his lap. He was waiting for the punishment but instead his principal said,
"I'll let this one slide and you won't get detention this week. But only this week."
He looked up and a smile spread across Adam's face.
"Really!?" Adam exclaimed.
He saw the principal nodded his head 'yes' and he told Adam he could leave.

At that, Adam shot up from the chair, rushed out, and he yelled "WOOHOO!" as he grabbed his skateboard and backpack. Adam then burst out the door of the school and he rode his skateboard down the stairs. He joined his friends Anthony, Andy and Austin.
"I don't get any detention for this week!" Adam told his friends.
They all smiled and they congratulated Adam before they got on the bus. Adam stood there and he watched as the bus drive away. A smile spread across Adam's face as he rode his skateboard towards home.

While he rode a few blocks, he saw a bully Adam knew all to well. Jonathan Oswald. A senior and he was picking on a girl around ten years old who was crying. The girl seemed familiar to him. Anger filled Adam as he rushed over there.
"Stop picking on the poor girl, Jon," said Adam bravely.
Jon looked at Adam and he smiled evilly.
"Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?" He asked
Without thinking, Adam punched Jon in the face and he twisted Jon's arm behind his back.
"I'm gonna break your arm unless you promise me that you will stay away from the girl," Adam said.
"Ow! Alright I'll stay away from the girl!" He exclaimed.
Adam knew he wouldn't keep his promise so he broke Jon's arm anyway.

Jon ran away crying like a little kid and Adam helped the girl to her feet.
"T-thanks Adam," said she in a quiet voice.
"You're welcome," Adam replied, "hey you're Hannah Ashford right? You're my little sisters friend."
Hannah nodded her head to show Adam that he's right. He smiled and he watched her walk home. Adam placed his hands in his pockets and he realized he must've dropped his cell phone since he couldn't find it.

He turned on his heel and he saw two men wearing black suits standing in front of him.
"Ahh!!" Adam yelled as he stared at the men.
The one of the left removed his funny looking sunglasses and he handed Adam his phone along with a business card.
"I'm Jasper Nephew and this is my companion Gabriel Hagen," he said, "we saw you save that little girl. It was a brave thing to do."
Adam blushed.
"It was nothing. I deal with bullies all the time," he said.

Jasper raised an eyebrow at him and Adam saw Gabriel whisper something in Jasper's ear. He spoke a few minuets later.
"Gabriel says to contact us at the end of the week if you want to be a special agent," Jasper said, "our agency's phone number is on the card. I hope we'll meet again, Mr. Adam Young."
Then the two walked away from Adam. Adam was about to ask them how he knew the name but he didn't feel like yelling. Adam let out a sigh as he shoved his phone and the card in his pocket.

Ten minuets later, he arrived at home. He said hi to his parents and his little sister, AnnMarie, then Adam went straight to his room. He removed his backpack and he glanced around his room. The walls were a dark blue with posters from various James Bond movies up all around. His bed was on the back wall and his desk was to his left. Adam sat down and he got his phone out along with the business card. Adam laughed to himself as he read the card. It said,
"Owl City. An agency for the top spies and beginners. Call us at 837-2464"
"Special agents aren't real," Adam told himself as he leaned back in his chair, "I must've been hallucinating."
But Adam didn't know how wrong he was until what happened to him the very next day at school.
