The Beginning (A Flames Pond Fanfic)

Chapter 10

Jared felt his blood run cold as he slowly turned around and he stared at the person who belonged to the voice. It was a girl. The girl had dark brown hair, sad brown eyes, and she wore tattered clothes.
"M-Michelle," Jared said in a quiet voice.

Michelle White, an agent his age. They went on a mission together two years ago to spy on the Fuzzy Guy, Jared sent her in a building alone and one of his henchmen shot her. Now he's convinced she's haunting him.
"Why are you haunting me!?" asked Jared.

Michelle smiled creepily.
"I'm not haunting you. I'm just part of your imagination so you can get rid of me...anytime you want."
Jared stared at the image of Michelle and it changed to a small yellow fuzzy ball. He continued staring and he image came into focus. The ball had pointy teeth that stick out of its mouth, a red nose and creepy eyes. It was ugly.
"W-who are you?" Jared asked.
The creepy thing smiled.
"Oh. I'm the Fuzzy Guy," he said, "and I'm going to take over your body."

Adam woke up in a hospital bed with a nurse, named Jackie by what Adam saw in the name tag, standing beside him. His head was hurting.
"What happened?" Adam asked groggily.
"You were out for an hour and you got hit in the head with a grenade. You also have brain damage so you'll have to stay here for a few days," the nurse explained.

Adam closed his eyes and he exhaled slowly and he opened them. "Just what I need," he thought sarcastically, "To stay in bed and do nothing when I'm supposed to train to become an agent,"
"This same exact thing happened to your dad when he was your age," Jackie suddenly said while she checked Adam's blood pressure.
"Really? Can you tell me about my dads life here? please?" Asked Adam
Jackie smiled nicely and she started telling Adam things about his dad he never knew until now.
