The Beginning (A Flames Pond Fanfic)

Chapter 25

The eight of them practiced everyday after school and the next thing they knew it was time for the competition. Adam peeked out from behind the curtain and he saw the shovel in view just behind the crowd. He looked for any sign of Jared and he couldn't tell if he was there.
"Hey Adam," he heard Matthew say, "what song are we preforming again?"
Adam stepped back and he stared at Matthew along with everyone else.
"We're preforming the song 'Bombshell Blonde' Matthew," said Adam in annoyed tone of voice, "now since we're the last act. We may have to stop in the middle of the song to fight the Fuzzy Guy's henchmen."
Adam scanned his friends faces and they knew what to do. His stomach was doing three sixties as they got in place. Everyone wore their gear that had weapons on them. Then the curtain was pulled back and they started performing.

During the performance, the Fuzzy Guy stood in a dark corner watching Flames Pond perform through Jared's body. The Fuzzy Guy noted that they were good musicians but they were better agents. He glanced to his left and he gave the signal to attack Agent Pond and his fellow agents. The Fuzzy Guy grabbed the shovel and he went on stage as well and his partners attacked the others. He went for Adam who had a scared look on his face. The Fuzzy Guy rushed to punch Adam but he stopped. He felt a weird feeling in his gut. Like....Jared's soul was trying to take over.
"Adam?" Jared asked, without the Fuzzy Guy speaking, "help me. P-please."
"Yeah Adam," he said again, this time with the Fuzzy Guy talking, "help out your dead brother."

At that moment, Adam smacked the Fuzzy Guy in the head with his guitar and Adam saw him fall over. He prayed that Jared could take back his body and the Fuzzy Guy would leave them alone.
"Adam get the shovel!" Joshua yelled just before he got punched in the face.
Adam saw the shovel that was in Jared's hand. It seemed to glow and Adam crouched down to his brothers side. He slowly reached for the shovel. Adam's hand was an inch away when Jared suddenly grabbed Adam's wrist and Adam screamed. He looked at Jared and he noticed that his eyes weren't red.

"Adam. You can save me," he whispered, "I know you can."
Adam took the shovel with his free hand and he stared at his brother with a confused expression in his face.
"How can I save you?" Adam asked him.
"Talk to him," a voice said in Adam's head.
Adam listened to the voice and he talked to Jared. Adam told him about how much he loved Jared and other things. After twenty minuets, Jared opened his mouth to speak but instead a yellow mist came out and Adam felt Matthew pull him away from Jared.

Adam saw his brother's body shaking violently then stop when the mist formed into a creepy looking yellow fuzz ball with arms, legs, pointy teeth, and a big red nose and weird eyes. The fuzz ball, which Adam realized that it was the Fuzzy Guy, looked angry.
"You idiot! I liked being in your brother's body," he exclaimed as he walked towards Adam, "now give me the shovel!"
Adam looked at the shovel and he smiled.
"Oh you want the shovel?" Adam said as he held it up in the air, "try to get it."
The Fuzzy Guy started jumping for it and everyone started laughing. He stopped jumping for it and the Fuzzy Guy said,
"How dare you humiliate me! Give me the shovel!"
Adam put fire around it and he handed it to Logan.
"It's safe for you to touch" Adam said.

Logan took the shovel and Adam glared at the Fuzzy Guy.
"Bring my brother back to life!" Demanded Adam
"Oh I will. I will," the Fuzzy Guy replied, "I'll bring him back to life when your five star group find you."
That confused Adam and he ended up yelling in pain when the Fuzzy Guy bit Adam's leg causing him to bleed out from the wound.
"Come to Alaska when you can," the Fuzzy Guy said as he held onto Adam's leg. S
Adam saw Jared's eyes open and the brothers made eye contact.
"I'll find you! I promise!" Jared yelled as the Fuzzy Guy disappeared with Adam.
There was a blinding white light that disappeared ten seconds later and Adam was in Alaska while his friends and family were in Minnesota. Adam looked at himself and he saw that the Fuzzy Guy was gone and that the wound was bleeding. He then scanned his surroundings and he saw lights in the distance. Hope filled him as he walked towards a town.

Kelsey stared at Jared as he woke up. She looked at everyone else and they were frowning. She sighed as she walked towards Jared. He looked scared and Kelsey told him,
"The Fuzzy Guy has your brother."
