"How can you be my brother?" asked Adam.
"I'll explain to you when we're at home," replied Jared.
Adam opened his mouth to speak but he closed it right away when Jared glared at him. He glanced at his dad and Jared placed his hand on Adam's shoulder.
"Come on Adam," Jared said softly, "let's go home and I'll tell the others that Agent Randal Young died with honor."
Adam got his 'brother's hand off of his shoulder. "What does he mean? Dad was an agent?" Adam thought to himself as he followed Jared.
"Hey where's your skateboard?" He asked Adam.
He thought about it.
"Um it's over there," replied Adam as he pointed across the street, "why?"
Jared didn't answer and he went across the street. Adam followed and he observed his 'brother' as he examined the skateboard. Jared flipped it over so the wheels were up in the air.
"When did you get this?" Jared asked Adam.
"Uh. Dad gave it to me when I was ten," replied Adam.
He heard Jared laugh.
"Ah this is an old model but it'll do," Jared said more to himself than to Adam, "dad was looking out for you bro."
That made Adam's skin crawl. Adam is not related to this weirdo.
"Do not call me 'bro' I'm still getting over the fact that my dad got murdered," Adam said.
Jared apologized and he pressed a button in the middle of the board.
Jared stood up and Adam stared at the skateboard as it made a strange beeping noise, the wheels disappeared and it flipped over and it hovered above the ground.
"M-my skateboard is actually a hoverboard!" Exclaimed Adam
"Yep. As I said it's an old model and we'll upgrade it when we get to the agency," Jared said, "but first we need to go home."
Adam agreed with Jared.
"But where's yours?" Adam asked as he carefully got on his hoverboard.
"It's right here," Jared told Adam as he brought out a coin and he set it on the ground.
Adam watched in amazement as the coin turned into a hoverboard with a blue board.
"Cool," Adam said as Jared got on his.
"Yep. Come on I'll teach you how to ride," Jared said.
Adam nodded his head in understanding and the two rode their hoverboards around town.
