(A/N: sorry I haven't updated in a while I had a lot of school work, I was going to do it yesterday but I was rushed to the ER after a head injury.)

Austin POV:

They're coming after us. Ivan hes coming after my family, my girlfriend, everything I love in this world. And for what? Power? Money? What if I'm not able to protect them. What if they die—

We were in the back seat of the SUV, my father and Ceci's brothers took their own cars, and we were being driven by our driver to Ceci's house. My little sister was sleeping beside me, with her head on my lap.

My thoughts where swimming around my mind, until I was brought out my Cecily grabbing my hand. I looked at her and smiled sadly. We hadn't said a word to each other since we got in the car.

"Are you okay?"

I shrugged "Are you?"

She shrugged as well. "So your in a gang..." I knew she was going to ask eventually.

"Ya, uh I am." I looked away from her gaze. I couldn't face her. "I'm sorry."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw her turn her gaze to me. "Austin." I turned to her. "You don't have anything to be sorry about." I smiled faintly and we sat in a few more seconds of silence before she asked "Why did your dad call my family The Mariano's?" I turned to her sympathetically. "He said they were your enemy. Are my brothers and father in a gang too?"

I squeezed her hand. "I think it would be better if you heard it from them." She bit her lip at my words. I looked down at her and kissed the top of her forehead.

Cecily POV:
Soon enough we arrived at my house, my father brought us up to his office, which by the way I had no idea existed. I knew he had a home office, but this one was behind the bookshelf in the library, no wonder my brothers were always going into the library. I was always a little suspicious about it, for I know they all hate reading, but I figured they were just hiding alcohol for their next party.

"Ah, Austin, Mr. Spade, could you give us a moment. Benjamin will escort you out." My father announced. "And Austin, you can put Autumn down in one of the guest rooms if you like. Benjamin will show you to it, if you agree." My dad always has a soft spot for little kids.

Once they were out of the room I took a seat, and my brothers sat beside me. Liam grabbed my hand and my dad started explaining himself.

"My darling Cecily." He sighed. "I never wanted to bring you into the world of we do. I knew I couldn't keep you hidden forever, but I hoped I would have a little more time with you before you found out." He paused and looked into my eyes. "Tereso, uh how do I say this, as you know I run the family business, but I also own a few more, less legal, business I never told you about."

I could tell he was trying to beat around the bush, so I spoke for him. "So you're in a gang." My brothers smirked. What the hell? I thought to myself.

"Almost." I grew more confused. He looked to my eldest brother then back to me and sighed. "We're in the Italian mafia." I was stunned. Did he just say MAFIA! Out of all the situations I came up with in my head, mafia wasn't one of them. "And I'm the head of it." I froze. This has to be a joke. My dad, the sweetest person ever, the person who used to hold me in his arms while I was sad, was the leader of fricking Italian Mafia!

Suddenly it dawned on me, why didn't Liam look surprised?

I turned to him and yelled "YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS?" He nodded, I could see a glint or sadness in his eyes. "ALL OF YOU KNEW BUT NOT ME!"

"Cec, you have to understa—" Alex started.

"No! Are you kidding me! Why does he get to know he's only a year older than me!" I yelled pointing at Alex "And Austin he's older by fourteen minutes!"

"Principessa, I know it's a lot to take in, and I'm sorry we didn't tell you, we just" My dad stopped mid-sentence.

"We just wanted you to be safe and happy. Mafia life is dangerous, we didn't want you to get hurt. In this business, the less you know, the better off you are." Xav finished for my dad.

"Real good that did." I mumbled.

"Ceci...." now it was Luke trying to talk. "Another reason we didn't tell you is because, usually a mafia Don's daughter or wife is seen as the weakest and most venerable, we thought by not telling you, we could make sure other mafia's didn't find out about you, because they could try to take you away or hurt you."

All of my brothers where looking down in sadness about what Luke just said. I know it must be true too. I've seen shows about gangs and mafias, they always use the daughter as some sort of bargaining chip against the leader.

My dad got up from his chair and kneeled in front of me. "I'm so sorry Principessa, all I wanted to do was protect you. Please forgive me." It didn't take a second glance to tightly hug my father. I understood why he did it, however I'm still a bit upset Liam got to know about it and not me.

They talked a bit more to me about why I was shot at, and what happened at Austin's house, before dad paged Benjamin to bring Austin and his dad back in.

Austin POV:
My dad and I were sitting in the guest bedroom, watching Autumn sleep on the big bed. So many thoughts were going through my mind. All I could think about was how I just endangered not just my sister, but Cecily. I had no doubt Ivan tapped my phone. He now had the proof he needed to start a all out Mafia war. A war with my girlfriend and baby sister in the middle of it.

Around twenty minutes later Benjamin walked in and took us to the office, I kissed my sisters forehead and pulled the sheets closer to her face before I left.

I had always been the one to take care of her since my mother died in a gang shooting when Autumn was eight months old, and my dad was always away.

We sat down with the Marianos to discuss our plan, Ceci's dad and my father agreed on a ally-ship. He told up he would do everything he could to keep Autumn and Ceci out of the crossfire, although I knew that would be wishful thinking. Ivan has people everywhere. All I can do is pray nothing happens to either of them.

With the treaty in place, we were about to walk out of the office when one of the Mariano's men entered with a large box.

"Don" he froze when he saw Cecily. "I mean sir."

"It's okay Jefferson, she knows." Ceci's father cleated up. The man, Jefferson, sighed in relief.

"Don, this arrived at the gate, mailman dropped it off, it doesn't have a name on it. We used the scanner, no metal detected."

"Set it down on the table." The soldier did what he was told and set it down, then he left.

"Anyone expecting a package?" Xavier asked.

We all shook our heads. Ceci's father pulled out a knife and opened the box. As soon as the cut was made, a beyond disgusting odor came out. He opened the box and the Marianos all looked in.

Next thing I heard was Cecily scream.
