I closed my eyes and whispered "I'll see you soon Cecily." The gunfire got louder, causing me to not heard the cell door open. I heard a gasp, and someone move closer. I waited for death to come, but it never did.

Austin POV:
Instead, I felt a hand touch my cheek.

Wait what?

"Oh my god, what did he do to you?" I heard a angelic voice whisper. I knew that voice. I slowly opened my eyes to see my beautiful Cecily crouching next to me in the cell.

"Am I dead?" I mumbled. I could barely speak.

"And your eyes, they're-they're so swollen." She spoke. "This is all my fault." I looked around more and saw Xavier standing at the door.

Xavier is dead too?

"Am I dead?" I said a little louder. She gasped. And hugged me tight.

"No you're not dead." She whispered. My face dropped.

"T-t-that means you're not dead? Or is this a dream? Please don't let this be a dream!" I sobbed.

"You're asking me if I'm dead! I thought you were dead."she cried.

Suddenly more footsteps walked in. I looked at the door and saw my father.

"AUSTIN!" His voice cracked. He ran to me. "God Austin! I thought I lost you."

"How-how are you here." They looked at me shocked. "Ivan— he-he showed me your body." I croaked.

"That wasn't her Aus." My dad told me. He pulled me into a hug. I yelled a bit when touched my back, which was littered with scars. "Austin, let me see your back." My father demanded.

I shook my head. "Not with her in here." I was scared she would see the scars, think I was a ugly monster. I just got her back I don't want to loose her again.

"I hate to break up the family reunion, but we got more of Ivan's men heading towards us, we got to go." Kade said from the doorway.

"Xavier can you help me with him?" My dad asked and they both picked me up by the shoulder and helped me walk to the car. "We need to take him to the medic."

"We already have one set up at the mansion." Xavier replied. Once everyone got in the cars Xavier sped off.

Everyone was silent. I hadn't realized it but Cecily hadn't let go of my hand since she found me. I looked over and saw that she was staring at my face, i knew I looked like a deformed monster so I turned away.

After we got to Ceci's house I was rushed to the guest room and worked on by the doctor. Ceci was forced to let my hand go and separate from me.

After a hour of treating my wounds, the doctor was finished. He told me it would be a long road to heal my scars, but he had faith I would be okay. He left me alone to rest, but I couldn't sleep. Not after what I went through. I went to the bathroom and took a shower. For the first time in 106 days I looked at myself in the mirror. My face didn't look even close to okay, my body was littered with bruises, scars, and cuts. I looked disgusting.

I took my shower, which hurt like a bitch, and finally got the old blood and dirt of. I changed into sweatpants and a hoodie and tried to hide my face. I was sitting on the bed, when I heard the door open. I quickly turned away, so whoever was at the door wouldn't see my face.

"Austin—" Cecily started.

"Please" my voice cracked. "Please go away."

"I brought you some soup, your favorite." I didn't reply or turn back. "Autumns downstairs, she wants to see her brother—"

I cut her off. "I don't want to see her. Or you." I stopped, hearing a small sniffle from Ceci. "Not like this." I mumbled. I heard her set down the bowl.

Next thing I felt was her hand on my shoulder. "Austin. Please."

"No. You'll hate me. I look like a monster. I look so" I paused. "Broken."

She placed her hand on the side of my jaw, forcing me to turn to her. "I would never hate you." She walked to the other side of me so our bodies were chest to chest. And she did something unexpected.

She kissed me.

"If you think that I would hate you for what you look like....then you Austin Benjamin Spade are the stupidest person on the planet." She chuckled and for the first time in 106 days I smiled.

I slowly wrapped my arms around her and held her so tight. "I missed you so much." I sobbed.

"Me too."

"I thought you were dead."

"Ivan, he tricked you, my father found out he got a girl that looked like me and dressed her up to look like a exact copy."

"But the bracelet—"

"Alex and I were attacked at the park. I dropped the bracelet." She paused and a tear dropped from her eye. "I hated myself for loosing it."

"It's okay."

After a while of hugging she asked me something I didn't know if I was ready for. "Can I see?"

"What?"

"The doctor said you have scars on your back. Can I see?" She looked like she was going to cry.

"I don't know if that's a good idea—"

"Please" she cut me off.

I sighed and took off my hoodie. When I did she gasped and I put my head down. We stood in silence for a minute before I felt her hand touch my back.

She moved her finger along my back, tracing each scar. Kissing each of them. I flinched at the first touch, to which she replied, whispering softly in my ear, "It's okay, you're okay, we're okay."
