Cecily POV:
"HOW IS HE?" Austin's father said running into the hospital.
"I don't know, h-h-he's still in surgery." I sobbed. "It should have been me. The bullet was meant for me."
Austin's father pulled me into a tight hug. "Cecily he did it for a reason. Because he loves you." Autumn was beside him. I hugged the now eleven year old, both of us remembering the feelings we had when Austin was kidnapped.
"He's gonna be okay, he's gonna be okay." I whispered, trying to convince myself more than her to be honest.
Soon enough my father, Liam, Kade, Xia, Natalia, Xavier, Claire, and Luke ran into the hospital waiting room. They texted me before hand, Alex was getting on the jet and would be here as soon as he could.
"Any word?" Xavier asked with Natalia by his side pushing a stroller with Jaxton in it.
A hour later, Alex entered and gave his condolences.
After a few hours of waiting I realized I was fidgeting with the ring. I put it on after the paramedics lifted him on the gurney. I was crying, and my brothers were trying to soothe me.
"Austin Spade." A doctor called out. I immediately stood up, as did Austin's father and sister.
"What's his status?" I frantically asked.
The doctor gave me a saddened look. "We were able to remove the bullet, however, he fell into a coma. We don't know when or if he will wake up.
I collapsed on the floor. "No!" I gathered my strength to stand and asked "Can I see him?"
"I'm sorry Ma'am only immediate family is allowed in right now."
"He's my fiancé!" I blurted out.
"My apologies, I will get a nurse to escort you to his room." The doctor said before leaving us.
When I looked back towards my father, siblings, and Austin's family they all looked at me shocked.
"Fiancé?" Kade asked.
I was still tearing up. "Um" I took a breath and wiped a tear from my eye. "Ya, he proposed tonight."I held up my hand to show them the ring.
I was given solemn congratulations, due to the current circumstance.
After a minute the nurse walked in to lead us to Austin's room.
