Professor Klein had asked Kirito to go with him to see the results of the studies done on Asuna to discover what the cause of her low pressure was. They expected her to be released from the hospital that day and taken home, where they would both make sure everything was in perfect order.
In the car, Klein tried, notoriously, to keep from laughing, being heard by Kirito on more than one occasion.
-What is so funny? -The boy asked him once when he had grown tired of laughs.
-I can't tell you, it has to do with teacher Asuna and I respect her privacy a lot, she gave me her trust and... And the truth is, to hell with it, Asuna is in love with you.
-What?! -The boy's eyes opened and his heart shook to the point that he almost had a heart attack.
-That's right. Before Christmas she confessed to me that she likes you, and now that you told me that you are deeply in love with her, that you would give your soul to be her lover.
-All right, I get it.
-That you would climb mountains, defeat dragons for her.
-Yes, Professor Klein, it is clear!
-That you would even kill for her, you would give your life for her!
-Enough, just tell me what you have to say!
-I'm just messing with you a little bit, ha, ha. The point, you and she are in love with each other, is a very nice thing. It seems that in the end you did conquer her heart.
-Wow...I feel great, my six month job paid off, holy cow, and I never thought it would work!
-Exactly, those things don't just happen in novels or movies. My mother was my father's student...I hope I wasn't born out of some "attempt" to get a raise.
Joy invaded Kirito in every aspect, even the most horrible things would be beautiful for him because of how happy and joyful he was...but I couldn't tell Asuna that Klein told her the truth about his crush, the best thing was to look for some alternative.
Klein gave her three basic tips for confessing her love for Asuna. The first was not to do it in school, obviously. The second was not to tell her right away that she was leaving the hospital or it would cause her to faint again. And the third...the best thing was to take it easy, even if he felt the world was coming at him, he had to wait until he was almost out of school, not a day before, not a day after, anyway they couldn't be a couple while they were students.
After those loving advices, both were ready to go to the hospital, being received by the doctor.
He clearly asked what they were from Asuna...they only said that they were the nephew and a personal friend of the family.
-Take a seat. -The doctor closed the door, placing an envelope on the table.
The atmosphere was very gloomy, one could breathe in the restlessness of the teacher and the student (or lover), of what was the situation of their dear friend.
The doctor made a long face, and shook his head, letting out a small sigh on the spot, handing the results to Klein.
-She didn't do very well in those studies, it wasn't a "simple fainting spell" as was originally believed. She did have low blood pressure, but because of something more serious.
Klein, not being a doctor or understanding anything about medicine, read and read the paper that said the results without understanding the least bit of what was written on it.
-Exactly what happened to her, doc?
-Sigh...Asuna has a mild case of anemia caused by vitamin and iron deficiency.
