Valentine's Day, for many, is not a special date; it is THE special date, as you can declare it to your suitor or you can make things clear.
But in reality, things were chaotic for the Class B quarantine, since they didn't really know what to do.
Eiji didn't have money to buy Yuna a gift because he had run out of money. Eugeo couldn't choose a gift that would be suitable for Alice, so he better write her a letter, it was the most romantic thing according to Yuuki and Yuna.
Yuna's gift was quite good: a cardboard heart with several notes addressed to her boyfriend, each and every one of them describing how she felt about him and how happy she was by his side.
Proud as she was, Alice did not prepare a gift for Eugeo, if she would give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek as God intended, but from then on it was no big deal for ordinary people, but for him, it would be as if he had been given the same stars he saw every night when the sky was clear.
It was very difficult for Asuna to prepare a meal to celebrate that date with Kirito, she ended up extremely exhausted when she finished, but she wanted to do something for the boy since she couldn't buy him gifts. She still couldn't leave her house.
And as for Kirito...he reserved all obligation to say that it was her gift or that it wasn't, something everyone expected from him.
It was a snowy day, surely those would be the last snowfalls of the year, so the intense cold would soon pass, fortunately for all. Having to stay in the subway railroad because of the snow was a discomfort for everyone equally.
In the academy, the decoration of the halls and corridors was a reference to what was being celebrated on that day. Obviously it was all thanks to the Committee, with Klein taking all the credit for it, but it was easily understood.
-Don't you think that you can breathe love today, Kirito? -Yuna asked, noting it slightly melancholy.
-Yes...and you breathe so much that it actually comes to stink. -Kirito covered his nose. Yuna was annoyed by this.
-Come on, you're not very romantic, that's why teacher Asuna prefers me! I'm a pretty and fun girl... as for you, well...
-If you only knew. -He smiled.
Eugeo walked desperately through the corridors, watching at all times to avoid meeting Alice. As he checked his living room, bingo! She wasn't there, so he entered as if nothing and left the lettre on his bench.
The envelope was yellow, representing her hair. The letter was blue, representing her eyes. The envelope was a skin color, representing her complexion.
He was somewhat fond of symbolism and metaphors, but having accomplished his goal, he set out on his retreat, meeting Alice at the door.
-Alice! -the boy blushed and became nervous.
-Eugeo? What were you doing in my living classroom? -she asked, quite curiously.
-Well, I'm still here, so I'm still in your classroom.
-So what are you doing in my classroom?
-I came to pick up some papers from teacher Asuna. -Being nervous, Eugeo answered the first thing that came into his head, ignoring all the facts that were not part of the situation.
-Did you know that teacher Asuna had not come? -Alice looked at him with some grace but also with challenge.
-T-The truth is that... -Kirito passed in front of both of them. -What do you say, buddy? I'll be right there! -Eugeo left like a bullet, escaping instantly.
