"Truth is a battle of perceptions. People only see what they're prepared to confront. It's not what you look at that matters, but what you see. And when different perceptions battle against one another, the truth has a way of getting lost. And the monsters find a way of getting out."
It had been quite a busy week, I didn't realise how quick it had gone by. I was so wrapped in my next takedown, I didn't even get to see Harry once. I was missing his presence or telling me a stupid joke that I forgot he was even apart of my mission.
Today was the day of takedown 2. Erickson Weld. During the trials of mother, he was paid off by the Styles to spin the story in their favour. The term "innocent until proven guilty" didn't apply to my mother. They wrote lies after lies about her to make her seem like the culprit and that she had the capability to do all of this.
I got up and twirled around in my midi dress and put one of those fancy hats on, getting ready to go to the stadium. Today there was a horse racing track going on and if I knew any better the Styles wouldn't want to miss it. Especially when their son will be racing.
Before I left I double checked that my outfit looked perfect, I needed to make sure it grabbed his attention. Not seeing Harry for over week is now throwing red flags all around in my head, he clearly isn't as interested as he lead me to believe if he could stay away this far. Typical of a man to lie to try and get what they want from a girl. However it was a good slap in the face back to reality, I need to remember that he's only a project to me. Nothing more.

Once I arrived the stadium I made my way down the steps to where everyone else was. It was quite a sight to see, some of the wealthy were siping on some fine wine whilst others were betting their last savings in hopes to make a win. But one thing I couldn't see was the Styles family. Were they not planning to attend and watch their son?
I grabbed one of the staff I could find in sight to make a few bets of my own before I started to look for Harry. Before I could go anywhere, I noticed a tall figure running his hands through his hair. I know there was quite a distance between where we both stood, but there was no man on this earth who could look that good while doing the most simplistic task.
Get it together Amelia, he's a project. Now get a grip and get ready to swoon him.
As soon as my legs started moving and walking together my heart beat just got rapid and I could vomit. I had this unsettling feeling in my stomach, maybe it's because I hadn't seen him in a while?
"Hey, you." I smile as the memory of the last time I saw him he had said the exact same thing to me. I already felt flustered at the thought of having his arms around me and holding me. I wanted to feel that comfort again.
His head lifts up at the sound of my voice and looks slightly shocked to see my face.
"Hello." his voice was very monotoned which I didn't expect.
I didn't know what to do or how to act around him, even though it had only been a week I felt some sort of distance and if I went up and kissed him it would feel wrong. And he would probably push me away and call me a maniac. It was killing me that I couldn't grab his face and do it especially when he looked so handsome in his racing clothes. I'm telling you this man can pull off anything and make it seem like it's the most sexiest item you've ever laid eyes on.
"Didn't think I'd end up saying this but I may have possibly missed your company." My insides were burning at what I just admitted. My cheeks were completely flustered and I tried hiding my face and focus my attention on the horse.
