Chapter 22: Family Gatherings.

Yay my birthday was yesterday :). And happy birthday to everyone's birthday who's in this month.

I planned in uploading yesterday, but I ended up having to go see family so yeah....

It's Sunday and I wake up early and text William telling him to come over at around 3:30-4:00 because that's when I get home from church.

'One of these days, I'd like to accompany you to this church you speak of.' He texted back. He's the only person I know who texts so properly and I can hear his English accent as if he were right beside me.

'Well, that can't be this week & trust me, u might take that back as soon as u see all the crazy ppl in my church.' I texted back smiling.

I got up and stretched as I gathered my toiletries and do the hygiene routine.

I put on some dress pants, a button down shirt, and some wedges with light makeup and accessories.

I went downstairs and waited for everyone to come downstairs.

While waiting, I started to think about my best friend, who I haven't seen or talked to since the beginning of the school year. I hope I catch her at church because we need to catch up...pronto.

We are at church and all I can think about is William and my best friend. I look around but I still don't see her. I know she's here because I saw her car.

I excuse myself and walk to the bathroom where I hear her voice.

"Mhm. Yeah boo. You know I love you too. My boyfriend? What he doesn't know won't hurt him. Jose, oh my goodness, you know im not ready for sex." At that point, I walked in.

"What the fuckery??" I asked her, annoyed and confused.

"Jose, baby, I gotta go." She says as she hangs up the phone, "What's up Kenz? Long time no see doll face. Now, I would love to chat but..."

"Um what happened to you? You haven't answered my texts or calls and I haven't seen you in weeks."

"Well, I've been busy. You know, this homecoming court is a lot to deal with." She said, checking her freshly painted nails.

Rosa was voted onto homecoming court and has been M.I.A. and acting like a damn bitch to me ever since.

"Rosa... What's going on? I don't get it..."

"Well, I've been with Taylor lately. And we've been busy buying dresses and accessories and trying to look for dates. She's got her eye on that white boy who's from England. Willis I think his name is? And I'm all after Jose." She said, staring off into space.

"Rosaline. You know that Jose used me right?"

"Right..." She shrugged simply, crossing her arms.

"What the fuck?! I'm warning you now, something isn't right, think about it. Taylor never liked you from day one, so why would she all of a sudden be all BFF type shit with you? And you have a boyfriend...who loves your ass!"

"Because people change Kennise. That's the same thing I did. And I needed something fresh and new."

"Well, that's nice for you, but when you come back to your senses, call me. Cause no matter what, you're my best friend and I've known you since we were in diapers. And tell that little whore to stay away from William and that is my first and only warning. Plus, you better not hurt your boyfriend for that stupid ass twat Jose. All he's gonna do is use you and leave you like your trash and your a lot better than that." I turn back, heading out the bathroom and back to the service at hand. At this point, only Jesus can help me.
