Chapter 2: Knowledge

Blade's Pov

I watched the girl pass out on the couch before snapping back up completely surprised "Are you alright?" I asked. She snapped her head at me shocked "What just happened? Are you tired?"

"I... do not think... so?" she said! I thought she didn't understand me! She looked confused herself, but ended with a smile "Hello" she held her chest "I do not know... how this happened, but I... seem to now understand you?" She was talking slowly.

"Oh, I guess you dumped your head a bit and forgot?" She scratched her cheek, not knowing the answer, and picked up the golden stone that shocked us earlier "Do you know where you are?" She shook her head "This is Nuvema Town in Unova"

"Nuvema Town in... Unova..." she stopped to think "So I am... really in the...human world" pardon? "Sorry, that is not what I mean. I... came from a faraway place and ended...up here. I think this is where I am meant to be. Unova, right?" I nodded, making her smile, and put her hands together happily. I observed her smile. Why does her face seem familiar to me...?

"Are you feeling alright now?" I asked.

"Yes. I am fine now" she said.

"What's your name?" She stopped to think.

"Hm... Well, I cannot seem to remember"

"So, you got amnesia, after all," I leaned back on the couch "That's rough... I'm guessing you don't know how you ended up in the woods with all that blood?" She touched her forehead.

"I... cannot say that I do" she frowned. I caught that lie, but I'm sure she had her reasons, like why she was speaking so properly "Why do I not remember my name...?"

"Cause of trauma on your head you got somehow, you must've lost some memories. I'm sure in time you'll remember" she nodded.

"I think it is something like... A wing?"

"A wing?" She looked a bit frustrated "Let's just go with Wing for now" I smiled as she nodded "Nice to meet you. Is there anyone I can call to come to pick you up?"

"No, father told me I have to leave home to come to Unova" my jaw dropped. Her dad kicked her out to another region!?

"What about your mom?" She shrugged and picked up the mug to look at how empty it was. So, looks like she's abandoned...

"Well, it doesn't matter" she looked back at me speaking "As long as you're alright, that's all that matters" I smiled "The clinic isn't open at this time, so they can't see you right now. I don't think this is an emergency, so are you alright with staying here?" Even if I just met her, I can't just leave her out there without knowing where to go. She's new to this region, and I can't help but want to help her out.

"You are very kind" she smiled softly "Your heart is very warm and caring. I am glad you were the one that found me. Thank you so much" I held my chest, confused about how easy she was to read people. I guess that's why she's not cautious around me but is that really alright for her to think?

"It's nothing, really-" a frame fell off the wall, making the room quiet. The girl looked surprised and stood up to go pick it up. I held her back to stop her "Ignore it. It happens often with a loose nail" I lied.

Unova is often known for these strange activities with ghosts messing with random places. They're not Pokémon, but they're often seen as shadows in our eyes. They are harmless but are mostly around to scare people. That's what I like to believe. Since Wing isn't from Unova, I don't want to scare her.

"Loose nail?" Wing asked, "what is a nail?" Oh boy... the amnesia is worse than I thought "Blade, you are not being honest" she caught that? "What made that thing fall?" I sighed and rubbed my face.
