Wing's Pov
During that moment in battle, I cannot recall what goes on in my head. The moment I faced N and his Pokémon, everything went black. I felt extremely nervous and anxious. My heart felt cold, and I knew I was speaking through my mouth, but my ears were not picking up what I was saying. I couldn't even see my surroundings. It was as if my body was moving without me.
The only thing I could see was wisps of flames softly surrounding me and whispering quiet nothings over and over. The little voices were hard to hear, but what I could hear always made my mind go wild in frustration and fear.
"You will fail..."
"You will never save anyone"
"Give up"
I covered my ears, having enough of listening to these wisps trying to ruin me with their taunts and insults, always trying to send negative energy my way. Father said to ignore it, it was only the shadows around me saying those things, but how could I...? After arriving to this world, I would hope they would just go away!
Battling must have been the root cause of them finding their way into my head. As frustrating to know how confusing that is, I have easily managed to keep them away by not getting involved with training near my Pokémon or battling against trainers who've been pressuring me and Blade to battle with them.
Traveling the route had been one of the most exciting things I have experienced. There was so much going on with many Pokémon roaming around, Pokémon battles left and right, picnics, sightseeing, and a beautiful sky with big white clouds or shining gems!
There were even days when it rained and Blake would always warn me to not go overboard when soaking in it for too long or I would catch a cold, but since leaving home, aside from facing shadows, I have had a blast! It can only get better from here!
"Wing!" Blade called for me, looking for me as I was sitting on a tree branch while he trained our Pokémon. His new friend, Lillipup, raced around with Blitzle to look for me, which I could not help but awe over.
"I dislike having to stay away from battles like this but watching them all from here should be safe" I held my heart "I wish I knew exactly what happened when I first battled. I won, but how?" I sighed.
"Wing!" Blade called again "We're going to the next city now!"
"I am here!" I jumped off the tree and landed on my feet hard, almost injuring myself "I'll get use to this world's gravity" I sighed, only use to the slow pace of jumping off somewhere and landing softly "I need to be more careful"
"There you are!" Blade and our Pokémon ran over to me. Our Pokémon came to show me how much fun they had training and cuddled against me.
"You all had fun! I am glad you enjoyed your time" I smiled, petting them.
"Remind me why you don't want to be around to train them" Blade said, holding his pocket.
"It is best to not repeat that incident from before" I admit.
"You mean with that N guy? So, you don't even know what happened?" I shook my head "Your eyes lost their shine and it's like you became a different person" I frowned, learning that that's what happened.
I tried my best to get away from that subject and say I just want to go look around, but it's gotten to the point where I cannot hide that it bothers me, and Blade knows it.
"That information is making me uncomfortable, Blade. I do not want to talk about this" I looked away "This only ever happens when I am around my Pokémon battling on their own. Father has not explained to me why this happens and is why I am scared to experience it again" He held my hand to look his way.
