Chapter 3: Starters

Wing's Pov

"Uh..." Blade became uncomfortable after I asked him about the shadows "I don't think I should say anything about that at this time of night. They could hear and become active. I much rather go to sleep than be bothered by them" I nodded, understanding "Go ahead and take the bed. I'll sleep on the floor" I looked at the spot where he was sleeping on and looked through the dictionary to see the full dictionary meaning of bed.

"Is this something people use often?" I asked, then closed my mouth "I mean..." I had a habit of getting use to father's world that I may be saying things that will see me as suspicious "It is a big one"

"It's the smallest size" I nervously laughed and sat down, instantly sinking into the mattress. It was so soft! I laid down and rolled around in it.

"I like it!" I laughed and rested my head on the pillow "Is it really okay to use it?" My eyes were getting sleepy. Blade smiled and petted my head with his warm hand, making me relax and slowly fall asleep.

"Don't worry about it. Sleep well, alright? We're going to the clinic first thing in the morning" I yawned and closed my eyes, falling asleep on this soft and warm bed.

I had wondered through my sleep if what I experienced earlier was real. Meeting Blade in his house and that Audino. I wondered if I was just dreaming, but then I was awakened by a familiar purple light and looked around to see a darker version of Blade's room.

"It is real" I swung my legs on the side of the bed "I really am in the human world. It was not a dream" I lifted my leg a bit and accidentally hit Blade sleeping on the floor on some blankets and a pillow. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully, which made me smile.

The purple light that woke me up came up to me "Litwick" I gasped in a whisper "There you are. Where have you been?" Litwick spun around and made a bunch of noise. I hushed her and caught my bag she dropped that I brought with me from home "My bag..." I looked back at her speaking to me while floating to the bookshelf "Books will help me understand the world... I agree" I smiled and picked up the Griseous orb near me "Father trusted me with this mission. I will do whatever it takes to fulfil it. Thanks to Blade, I can understand other humans"

"Lit" Litwick disappeared at the same time Blade sat up from the floor and looked at me.

"Wing...?" He sounded sleepy while his hair was a mess. It made me giggle a bit "Why are you up?" I looked down, making him get up to sit next to me "Is there something wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" He looked at my bag "where did this come from?"

"Blade?" He looked back at me "Where did you end up finding me?" He explained that he followed a purple light when he was out looking for a spot to look at the stars. Litwick must've led him to me.

"You were so cold that I thought to bring you here. It's a miracle that you weren't extremely hurt, but I still don't know why you had so much blood on you"

"The purple light you followed belonged to me" I admit "It helped me heal up, so I did not have a wound when you found me" the only thing I lied about was Litwick being the one that healed me "There is actually a reason why father brought me to this land, Unova, was it?" he nodded "I need to go to a place called the Celestial Tower"

"That's a bit far from here. Why do you need to go there?"

"Going there is important to my father, and it is important that I go there" he stared at me "I cannot stay here for too long. I really appreciate that you have helped me"

"Your dad abandoned you here just for you to go to a place where they bury the dead?" Yes, since loose shadows often come from bodies that have passed and do not have a person to cling to "I don't feel comfortable with you leaving on your own like that. You hardly know anything, Wing" I frowned, understanding that "I'm not trying to be rude, but I think it's better if you wait until morning" I looked at him confused "Other than taking you to the clinic, I'm going on a journey with my friends"
