can we just forget and move on

Walking To the alley, gulfs heart was beating out of his chest, he didn't have a lot of friends and he didn't have confrontations like this. It was beyond the scope of a normal fight or confrontation but it still made his heart beat erratic.
To the alley, mew laid his back to one wall, gulf went to the other, they were 2 feet apart, gulf kept his head hung, mew looked directly at him.
Gulf took an deep intake, when 5 minutes passed them without a word, he knew he would have to talk first.
"I...... Read your..... Message from the game and......I think you are under..... The wrong impression....."
Mew cocked his head to the side confused.
Gulf looked to his fingers to start to play with them to furrow his eye brows. He was trying to place what he was going to say together.
"Listen, that day........ You didn't take advantage of me......I...... Did that to you. I'm the asshole here...... You heard my story and felt bad for me then......I should have stopped it..... This is my fault."
Mews eyes widen.
"I can understand....... Now why...... You thought that was going to help me after..... What I told you...... You were being a great friend but....... It shouldn't have happened."
Mews eyes darted.
"Gulf...... You needed to have that happen to you, I wanted you to have a...... Good experience with a guy. I wanted to help you. I took it too far, I am the one who took advantage of you."
Gulf shook his head.
"Mew......I was feeling vunerable and I allowed you too then instead of saying maybe thank you....... Instead I treated you...... Horribly.... Even after what happened to you at the club by your ex.... I'm sorry....."
Mew smiled.
You are so good natured gulf. This is hurting my heart, watching you blame yourself for this. It was my fault. That kiss you gave me, I'm so sorry, I wanted more and after what I heard, I really did want you to forget about that bastard.
Mew took a deep breathe in to walk to gulf, to lean against the wall, to turn his head, to place his hands in his pockets.
"How about this...... You and I..... Were both in the wrong. But I really was trying to help you. Not all men are like your step dad gulf. I was trying to show you that and have you not think. I'm sorry."
Mew then hit him with his shoulder.
Gulf looked up with a sullen face to have it smooth away when mew smiled.
It made his heart beat fast.

Gulf stammered to look away.
Mews eyes darted up and down.
"I...... Need to also say this gulf......I have missed you something fierce. Can we....."
Mew gritted his teeth and rolled his hands into fists in his pockets.
He didn't like the friend word however, he wanted gulf back in his life. The 2 weeks without him, kept him up nights, checking and re chucking the game just to see if he read any of his messages, which he did not.
Mew also tried to text him to no avail. He was sure gulf blocked his phone number.
Mew took in a deep intake.
Id rather be friends then nothing at all.
"Can we...... Be friends again?"
Gulfs eyes widen to look to mew, he chewed at his inner cheek, to then turn his head to look forward.
"I...... Don't know...... After what happened.....I don't think we can......."
Mews heart and face fell.
"Listen mew...... You are gay......I know you did it to help but...... I'm not trying to..... Lead you on...... I'm straight....... And...."
Gulfs heart started to sink with this like if thinking.
He signed.

"Can...... You tell me..... Promise me actually..... You only did that..... To help me..... It's not because you have unrequited feelings for me?"
Gulf turned his head to look to mew.

I...... Do have unrequited feelings for you gulf.....I really really like you and wish you were gay and wanted to date me but...... If I tell you that.....our friendship is over I....... Don't think I can handle life anymore without you in it..... I'm so sorry......I have to lie.
Mew gulped.
"I promise, I....... Did that to help you. I do not have unrequited feelings for you. Your only my friend gulfie......"
Gulf turned his head slightly, to Narrow his eyes to study mew.
His eyes widen the tiniest bit to shrug.
Gulf took a deep breathe in.
"Okay......I believe you......"
Mew smiled wide.
Gulf had to turn his head because he fault has if his heart was going to try and jump out.

Gulfs face fell, he didn't know why, but he couldn't finish that thought.
Mew tilted his head, to keep his eyes to gulf.
"Well, since it's Saturday and my shift is almost over..... Can I spend the night?"
Gulfs eyes widen to look to mew, his smile was not helping him to think.
"Um....... But I'm not drunk or even intoxicated."
Mew bend over to laugh.
"Hahaha, do you have to be to let a friend over?"
Mew leaned himself off the wall, to stand in front of gulf, he watched mew, to look to his eyes. Gulf didn't know why, but he was becoming lost in them, also, in the light, he could tell, mew was very tired.
You two have been sleeping in the same bed together for a couple weekends, yes you have been slightly intoxicated or drunk, just because you are sober, does that mean he can't come over?
Gulf nodded.
"Okay."
Gulf leaned away from the wall too smile stepping to mew.
"After your shift, we can go to my apartment. You look like a raccoon, you need to sleep."
Mew raised an eye brow, to step to gulf to place an arm around to lead him to the club.
"Well, I haven't had any sleep, been worrying over you. Let's go and see if I can go now. I am tired, need my beauty rest."
Gulf gulped, has he was being lead, he didn't know if this was the right choice or not but he had been missing mew like crazy In these 2 weeks and wanted him to come home with him.
He just hoped what mew promised was true. Regardless of it, he was happy to have mew back in his life, unaware mew lied.
