Date# 2

"A picnic in the park? Seriously? That was your grand plan for the perfect date? And here I was about to actually get excited."

"Oh, cmon Arthit. Even you know it will be fun. Plus I like a slow build-up to reach the perfect climax."

And as much as I grumbled at the idea of going literally in my backyard for my so called dream date, I can't deny that it actually was a lot of fun. Mostly cause it was so simple. It was just me and him, sitting on a blanket in a park, with Chocolate resting his head on my lap while we munched finger foods and I sipped on my very first glass of wine. Relaxing to the sound of Kong's soothing voice as we simply talked. About anything and everything. Just like we did in the past few months. The most physical contact we had was when he would briefly run his fingers on the back of my hand, squeezing it lightly before pulling it away. And although it resembled little to my dream date I had been looking forward to for years, it was still warm, and pleasant. Leaving me feeling all mushy and a creepily wide smile on my face when he placed a chaste goodnight kiss on my cheek at the end of the evening.

"A walk on the beach? Seriously? Are you picking ideas from the gigantic book of cheesy dates to waste my time?"

"Didn't you say you love the beach?"

"Well, yeah when I'm trying to figure out my own thoughts. Not when I'm constantly wondering if you want to jump my bones or not."

"For future reference, I always want to jump your bones. But don't worry, your modesty is safe for today.

Grabbing my arm he made me throw off my sandals before breaking out into a sprint, keeping a firm hand around my arm to support my balance as we felt the warm sand slide between our toes.

The cool breeze wafting around us, the sea gulls creating an orchestra of sounds meshing perfectly with waves crashing against the shores. For the first time in a long, long while I was carefree and happy, running along the length of the beach with Kong in complete abandonment.

"A boat ride? Seriously?"

"Not a boat. A Yacht. A private one that too. There is a significant difference you know."

"What spark of brilliance gave you the bright idea to put a blind man in the middle of an ocean where he would have no way of knowing easy from west or up from down?"

"How will you be alone? I will be right next to you. Obviously listening to you grumble the entire day."

"Well, you deserve it. And just to let you know, if I fall over, I am definitely taking you with me."

"Yeah, yeah I know. Now cmon we have to be back before my dad is back and finds out to decide the babies may not really need a mother or a brother."

Grabbing my hand firmly, he led me to a place I had never thought I would ever visit. Somewhere my feet weren't planted on the ground knowing without a doubt that I could find my way home somehow no matter what. And yet as the warm day morphed into a cool night, getting pampered and showered with attention almost non-stop uncertainty and fear slowly began creeping out of my body. Simply allowing myself to let go of my own overwhelming thoughts and bask in Kong's presence as we spent the day with our hands lightly connected, fingers barely laced through while I'm sure I was blushing like a neon tomato every single moment of our date.

Date# 5

"A carnival? Seriously? How are you even coming up with these crazy ideas?"

"This one is all on you."
