Patton paced nervously, it had been little over three weeks since what he said to Remus, and now he felt he had to apologise to the both of them. He had no right to accuse Remus of evil plotting.
Janus watched Patton pace for the last five minutes. He was chewing on his nail and looks so nervous.
Janus reached out, pulling Patton to sit on down with him on Patton's bed. He used all six arms to hug Patton, letting Pat rest his head on Janus's chest.
"Stressing won't help. You need to take time for yourself and relax." Janus half whispers, keeping his voice quite and calm.
"But I have to do it today. I need to apologise." Patton whispers back, matching Janus's quiet voice by reflex.
"No, you need to take today for yourself, I'm going to help you. You need to move on from Logan."
Patton nods, there was never much arguing with Janus. He didn't have the energy to try.

After a while of hugging, Janus pulled away. Patton let out a small sigh of displeasure at this and Janus nearly when right back to hugging him. But, he knew Patton needed a self care day and hugging was only one part of it.

"Come now Patton. I'm running you a bath."

"But why? I have other things I could be doing. Like cleaning or looking after Virgil or even better , making amends with Logan and Remus."

"Well, today is all about you. They don't matter right now. You need to be a little selfish."

Patton thought guiltily about the last time he was selfish. He had kissed Logan without permission. He was only thinking about how he felt. Not what he was doing to Logan, made worse by the fact Logan didn't even like him back.what was he even thinking? How could he even thinking about taking a day to himself after what he did? He needed to apologize right away. He needed to make things right with Remus. Not just to make Logan happy, but because it's the right thing to do. He is morality. That's his job. Be good. Don't mess that up others /it/ will happen...

"Patton, come on. You are /not/ going to get undressed right now and into the bubble bath waiting for you."

Patton had been thinking long enough for Janus to finish running him a bath. He hadn't even noticed...

"You can't exactly force me..."

Janus raised an eyebrow, a small smile on his face. "Is that a challenge?"

Patton giggled slightly at Janus's face, also believing he would totally find away to force him into the bath and generally relaxing.

"Chop chop, before it gets cold." Janus ushered Patton into the bathroom, closing the door behind them both.

"Now, there are a lot of bubbles, and lavender bath-salts. There are a few books to read if you feel like it."

"Won't they get wet?"

"I could/n't/ read them to you if you would like" Janus joked.

"Would you?" Patton asks. His eyes were so wide and hopeful, as if he didn't want to be alone. How could Janus say no?

"Yeah... I /won't/..." The words caught in his throat as he tried to talk. He was going to be in here with Patton... in the bath...

"If that's not... weird..." Patton adds, not wanting to force Janus into anything he didn't want to do.

"It's not weird." Was the a little too quick reply he got.

Janus turned away as Patton undressed and got into the tub, only turning back when Patton said he was ready.

The bubbles covered Patton nearly all the way up his torso, making sure no one could see anything bellow his collar bone.

Patton lay with his head on the side of the bath as Janus's smooth voice read out to him. Janus took hi on adventures over the moon and under seas. Every word more believable then anything Patton had ever heard before. He really did feel relaxed.

Patton stayed in the bath longer then he even wanted to, just so Janus would keep reading.

"I think you should get out now, you'll get all wrinkly and that's not fun."

Patton nods sadly, wanting to have Janus read to him forever if possible.

Janus passes Patton a towel and then turns away so he can get out and dry. It would probably of been easier for Janus to just leave, but, he didn't want to. Not when he was so close to him in this moment. Not in physical proximity, but in an emotional connection way.

Once Patton was all dried and dressed and they were both back in Patton's room, Patton waited to be told what they were doing next. He was enjoying himself.

"Right, next is a movie and junk food!"

Patton clapped his hands, he was so excited. He knew exactly what he wanted to watch, turning Lio and Stitch on as soon as Janus returned with snacks. "You'll stay for this too. right?"

He had the same hopeful, and now excited, expression that Janus could never say no to.

They sat in the dark of Patton's room, the soft glow of the movie highlighting Patton's face. Each expression seeming so precious. The film was good, but Janus wan't paying any attention to it. Not with Patton by his side.

At some point in the movie, the two sides had ended up cuddling. Janus slowly stroking Patton's soft curls and taking deep breaths of his sweet honey scent. He loved it more then he'd ever care to admit out loud, but maybe he could whisper it. Whisper it out into the dark in hopes it will land on Patton's ears, and yet, simultaneously he wanted Patton to never know. For this moment to never be spoiled with his own selfish desire to ruin his and Patton's friendship with a kiss .

Patton's lips weren't too far away. They consumed more of Janus's thoughts then they should. All of Patton's perfections took more of Janus's thoughts then they should.

Patton was in a bad place right now. Janus refused to take advantage of him. Patton deserved better then that.
