A Moceit Story

Logan

Two grinning faces of Janus and Remus entered the kitchen, their lips busted and looked as if they'd just walked out of a fight.
"oh my Thomas! What happened to you guys?" Patton rushes over to them, giving Remus a worried look but focusing on Janus as Logan also approachs.
"I told you it was a bad idea." Logan frowns, but carefully inspecting Remus's wounds.
Roman walks in soon after, also looking like he'd been in a scuffle.
"Roman... Care to explain?" Patton asks.
"They started it! They blew up half my side in imagination!" he cries, looking ready to punch Remus again.
"Boys, apologise to Roman." Patton's voice was a little sterner.
"Sorry Roman..." they both say, but the glee in their eyes didn't dampen. They were back in business and both were extatic about it.
The two mischievous sides spent the rest of the day doing exactly as Roman told them, as directed by Patton. It was that punishment of the pranks they had pulled and Logan went along with it.
Logan and Patton actually spent the day together, something they haven't done in some time. Namely since the entire situation had played out.
Everytime Janus ended up in the same room as them he let nervous glances towards. The two were laughing and talking and having a generally good time and this made Janus worry that he would soon be forgotten. At the crush Patton had on Logan would soon return and once more Janus would be nobody to Patton. It was a terrafing thought to the deceptful side.

Logan leaned into Patton's ear, "He doesn't like the fact we're hanging out." He says, refencing to the sake like side occasionally throwing glances at the two of them.
"I can tell. It's adorable."
"You want to make him jealous?"
"A little... I want him to ask me out."
"Hold on, let me text Remus. I have an Idea, but only if he's okay with it."
Logan starts tapping away and gets the all clear from his boyfriend.
"Okay, here's the plan..."

Janus watches as Patton laughs, placing a hand on Logan's leg. "Really? Wow!" he exclaimed obviously entranced by whatever Logan had told him.
"You're the best Lo" Patton smiles, leaning his head on Logan's shoulder.
Janus felt the anger and jealousy boil up, what the hell was going on?
Logan puts an arm around Patton, holding him with a smile on his face.
Janus all but strops away.
Patton chews his lip nervously, "Maybe that wasn't the best approach..." but as soon as he finishes his sentence Janus storms back in.
"Roman says I'm good to go. Patton, want to go... Go... Watch a film with me?" he tried to keep a level tone but it was obvious he was on the verge of stamping his feet like a five year old.
"Sure! I'd love to" Patton grins.

Patton had to admit, it wasn't the most ethical thing to do, nor was most things he did, but it was effective.
Janus was sat with Patton laying in his lap as the watched the film. Janus played with his hair, curling and braiding it in some places. "You and Logan seemed to be... Getting along..."Janus suddenly speaks.
Patton smiles, looking up at him,"Yeah and so are you and Remus. It's good to have things back to normal."
"mhm..." Janus chews his bottom lip, "He seemed rather... Touchy..."
Patton sits up, "Yeah, we've been friends since before even you were here"
"yeah... Just friends though... Right?"
"Right. He and Remus are very happy together, you know."
"I know..."
Patton smiles at him even more, he knew there was something he wanted to say.
"We're friends, right?"
Patton felt slightly disappointed, "Oh... Yeah, of course we are"
"And, maybe... I don't know... We could be more then that?"
Patton nods enthusiastically.
"when?"
Patton laughs, "I've been waiting for you to ask me out if I'm honest."
Janus chokes on the air, "What?"
Patton's laugh becomes more nervous, "I would of asked you out myself but... Well it didn't go well last time I tried something like that..." He suddenly was waved with guilt and sorrow.
"Hey, it's okay. It's all in the past. You're learning from your mistakes."
"It doesn't take the pain away. I hurt someone I love. I was forceful and cruel and selfish."
Janus sighs, "You're right. You were." Janus uses his finger and thumb on Patton's chin to guide him into eye contact, "But the key were is 'was'. Patton you're not a bad person. You used to be shitty at dealing with how you aproched situations and now you're better. It's called personal growth and you're doing well. Logan forgave you, no one thinks bad of you and you haven't done it since. "
" I want to... " Patton mutters guiltily.
" What? "
" I want to. Everyone moment we're alone, I want to kiss you. "
Janus takes this in,"Okay, so, do it."
"W-What?"
"Patton, Morality, I give consent for you to kiss me whenever you like."
Patton frowns, "I don't think it works like that..."
"Actually, that's exactly how it works. Boundaries and what you're okay with are exactly what you talk about in a... In a relationship... If you'd like to be in one..."
Patton nods, an overwhelming happiness drowning all the pervious hurt he had been feeling. "Can I ki-" before he could even finish Janus had leaned in; silencing Patton with his lips.
