Two clasped hands all but shook with nevers, the room was silent.
"What?" Virgil stands, he looked as if he was about to hit someone. Patton stands a little in front of Janus... Just incase.
"Janus and me"
"I" Logan corrects.
Patton gives him a nod of acknowledgement, "Janus and I are in a relationship, a romantic one" Patton smiles nervously.
"Great," Roman now stands up, folding his arms, "First I have to deal with nerdy wolverine and my deranged brother fucking, but to be honest, that's no where near as bad as this"
"You know he's evil right?"  Virgil adds, close to ripping Patton away from Janus.
"Morality is malleable thing" Janus half mutters.
"Oh? So you think you can manipulate Patton into whatever you want?"
"Virgil, you're twisting his words..."
"NO! I'M NOT! HE'LL HURT YOU AND I DON'T WANT THAT!" Virgil screams, he looked as if he was about to cry and his voice was his deep, currpted one.
Patton was the first to burst into tears, storming out, closely followed by Janus.
Virgil marches off in the opposite direction.
"Don't you see an issue with this?" Roman asks, gesturing to the empty door way.
"No. Should we?"
"Yes!" Roman half yells as if it was an obvious fact and leaves too, in a huff to Virgil's room.
Remus turns to Logan, a wide and wild grin painted across his face, "Do you think Virgil is so pissed because he wants to fuck his father?"
"I doubt it, and, which would you even consider his father? Patton, I assume, is the easy choice, but Janus was Virgil's guardian figure before-or as far as we can grasp."
"Either, or both maybe even at the same time. 'please daddys, fuck me' you know? " Remus laughs, mocking up the situation and Logan rolls his eyes.
"This could be bad, Remus"
"Nah, I've seen Virgil and Janus fight a million times, it'll be over soon. By Friday dinner, I'll be the only bastard at the table."
"I hope you're right..." Logan says, nervous.
"Hey, did you just admire to thinking I'm a bastard?" Remus exaggerates a pout.
"Yes. You're words. But you're my bastard to wipe that look off before force it oof" Logan smiles, joking. "I like the sound of that... "

Shaking shoulders found no support, even in the arms of their lover. Patton sobbed into Janus's body, holding him tight.
"He-he hates me" Patton manages with gasps and hiccups.
"Sounds like a him problem..."
"Janus!" Patton sobs even more.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I know Virgil, and his opinion, mean a lot to you..."
"he's-he's my-he's my kiddo and-and now he hates me!"
Janus rubs Patton's back as soothingly as he could. He had be hurt by the exchange too, but right now wasn't the time for his problems, he needed to be there for his boyfriend.
Patton continued to cry, clutching onto Janus," Why... Why did I have to fall in love with you..." Janus freezes as Patton speaks, "If I just let myself obsess over Logan... It was unrequited but... But I'd still have my son..." Patton whails again, bursting into a fresh set of tears.
Janus did his best to comfort him, but he felt his own emotions welling up. Patton had just admitted to wishing they'd not met, that he wasn't as good as Logan. That he wasn't worth it...

A shaky breath left Janus as the door clicked closed behind him. He made sure he didn't leave until Patton had fallen asleep, but every second spent comforting him was another second Janus was drowning in self doubt and Patton's words.
Was it so bad to love him?
Patton obviously thought it was... He'd spent the last while crying because of Janus.
Cold.
Janus's room was cold; icy, infact. He knew staying here wasn't an option. Not tonight.

"I can't believe it! He's an evil snake and a manipulative ass!" Virgil yells, still angry with the situation.
"It's not like we can just break them up though" Roman reasons, but Virgil hears something different...
"it's so simple... Of course we can break them up! And, we don't even have to be the ones to get in trouble"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you're an identical twin. All we have to do is dress you up like Remus, have you kiss Janus infront of Patton and boom! Relationship over!"
Roman rolls his eyes, "like I'd ever kiss that freak"
"you need to! And, if Patton tells logsn then we might break them up too. Win win"
"I don't know..."
"You asked me to kiss Loagn-" Virgil reminds Roman.
"Well... Yes but! That was different. It was a joke, and you didn't have to. This is very different. It's deceitful."
"If we want him gone, we have to go to his level! Why don't you see that!" Virgil's words spued out like lava, spitting and burning.
"I think I could let you cool off." Roman goes to leave, but stops. Virgil's hand had reached out, gently grabbing Roman's.
"I'm sorry..." his voice was hardly above a whisper, "They stress me out. I know what they can be like. I know what I used to be like..."
Roman sighs, turning back, taking Virgil up in his arms, "Okay... I'll do it.
"no Roman, now I feel manipulative..."
"You're not." Roman lays Virgil in his bed, Virgil was often welcome in his room.
"I fell like it though..."
"The fact you feel guilty should be evidence enough. We'll protect Patton and keep that snake away from him. Janus is the Lord of the lies; the real manipulative one."
"Yeah. We've got to protect Patton."
Roman nods, "They won't last a week."
