Barely staying afloat
Water lapping against golden shores
Unsure of how far to go
Painful
Memories break through
Lost in the midst of heartbreak
Never once happy
Depletion
Energy vacates
The air grows shallower for all
Yet only one notices
Curiosity
Craves a new life
One free of burdens and stress
