Ch.16

Chapter 16

Calum's POV

I was changing clothes and was headed to the movies. Ali and I were going on a date and I was really excited. I didn't want to be too dressy but I didn't want to be too casual- so I put on a black shirt with writing on it, black skinny jeans, a black beanie and my Vans. (A/N: the picture. I know u cant see the waist down but I just made a guess).  I put on my jacket and coat because it was going to be 50 degrees. (I know that's not that cold. But when you are from Sydney and are used to hot weather- the slighted chill feels like below 0)

"Wear protection," Ash and Mikey said in unison while I walked down the stairs.

"Shut up," I said laughing, "Love ya."

"Love you!!!" they said back. I shut the door and started walking toward Liz's car. She rode with a co-worker so I could drive to pick up Ali. I drove to her house and parked on the curb. I walked up and knocked on the door. An older woman, probably in her early forties, opened the door.

"Hi, you must be Calum. I'm Susan, Ali's mom," the woman said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you," I said putting my hand out to shake. She shook my hand and smiled.

"Ali will be down in a second, would you like to come in?" she asked.

"Uh, sure," I said smiling. Susan gestured for me to walk in and I did. I walked into their living room and looked around the room. Pictures of Ali with brown hair, and what I'm guessing is her brother, were all over the room. Ali looked so different with brown hair

"You can sit, if you'd like," Susan said to me.

"Thanks," I said sitting down.

"Would you like anything to drink?" she asked.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you, though," I said politely.

"Mom, is he here yet?" Ali yelled from upstairs.

"Yeah, hun," Susan yelled back. I soon heard footsteps come down the stairs and Ali walked into the living room. She was dressed in a white tank top that said 'IM COOLER ON THE INTERNET' underneath a red flannel- black, ripped up skinny jeans- and black combat boots. Her long blonde hair was in a bun on the top of her head, a black bandana wrapped around her head. Her makeup was all natural colours and her jewelry was basic. She was perfect.

"Hi," she said hugging me.

"Hey," I said smiling, hugging her back. "Ready?"

"Yeah," she said letting go of me. He grabbed a dark purple jacket and slipped it on. "Bye Mom," she said kissing her mothers cheek.

"Bye, have fun!!! Nice meeting you, Calum!!!"

"Nice meeting you, too!!!" I said opening the door for Ali. I shut the door, and her and I intertwined our fingers.

"You look absolutely beautiful, Ali." I said, opening her car door and helping her in.

"You don't look too bad yourself." she said winking.

We talked the entire way to the movies, me savoring each word she said, like I would never hear one again. When we arrived at the movie theater, I hurried around and opened her door for her, once she was out, we intertwined our fingers.

"I'm really glad that we decided to get to know each other, rather than just having a one night stand, which is what I'm used too," she said, turning her head to face me.

"I am too. And this proves that we could be in an actual relationship, rather than friends with benefits," I added, pulling her closer to me as we entered the movie theater.

"That was a really good movie," Ali said as we walked out of the cinema. 

"Yeah, but I wasn't expecting that ending," I said back. 

"Right? But I liked it better then what I thought I would," she said letting go of my hand, "I have to pee, be right back."

"Okay," I said, watching her walk to the females restroom. I got my phone out and saw I had 40 text messages from either Luke, Ash, or Mikey. 

Mate, you in her pants yet? -Luke

How's the "date" going? -Ash

Ya havin fun getting sucked?- Mikey

ETC. 

I shook my head and smirked. I slipped my phone in my pocket right as Ali walked out of the bathroom.

"You want to get something to eat?" I asked. 

"Yeah," she said smirking. "I know this great place that you will love."

"Okay," I said grabbing her hand. We walked to the car and she gave me directions. We pulled into Outback Steak House (A/N: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and I burst into laughter. 

"What?" she asked, confused. 

"Outback Steak House?" I asked through laughter.

"Yeah?"

"You're racist," I said pulling into a parking spot. 

"What?"

"The outback is Australia," I said laughing even more.

"OH MY GOD, I TOTALLY FORGOT!!! I'M SO SORRY, I'VE JUST REALLY BEEN WANTING THEIR BBQ RIBS!!!" she said loudly once she finally understood. 

"Babe, it's fine," I said shutting the car off. She was silent for a moment then, out of no where, she burst into laughter.
