Ch.28

Chapter 28

Luke's POV

I was getting discharged from the hospital and I was so glad. We had been in there forever and I just wanted to be home with Lesley, safe and sound.

"You ready, babe?" She asked as she pushed my wheelchair out of the lobby.

"H*ll yes," I said smiling. She kissed my forehead and opened the passenger door to her car and I climbed in. She took the wheelchair back and got back in the car.

"How's your leg?" I asked.

"Better. They put a boot on it so I can walk," she explained.

"Good, I don't want to see my baby girl on crutches," I said making her giggle. She looked at me and kissed me quickly.

"What was that for?" I asked with a smirk.

"Can I not kiss you randomly?" she said smiling.

"Yes you may," I said grabbing her hand and intertwining our fingers.

"I love you," I exclaimed kissing the top of her hand.

"I love you too" she said starting the car.

"Home sweet home," Les said loudly as we pulled in the driveway to my house.

"God, I've missed this place."

She stopped the engine and walked over to my side. I opened the door and climbed out. I was still a little weak so I clung onto her. We walked onto the porch and she unlocked the door.

I saw a huge sign that read "WELCOME HOME LUKE". The boys, mum, Ali, Abby, and Mrs. Johnson were all standing around with smiles on their faces.

"Woah." I said out of surprise, not expecting all of this.

"WELCOME HOME!!!" they all screamed. Everyone crowded around me and made a giant group hug.

"We've missed you!!!" Ali said letting go of me.

"I missed you guys too. What is this for?"

"A little welcome home party. We missed you so much. We're so happy that you're home," Mrs. Johnson explained.

"Awe, thank you guys," I said smiling.

They all gave me presents- new paint set, more drawing pencils, a guitar, etc. Then there was a chocolate cake that said "We Missed You" in italics.

"Thanks guys," I said ask Mum cut it.

"You are welcome, my love," Mum said kissing my forehead.

God, I was glad to be home.

"I really f*ck*ng missed you," Lesley said as she laid down beside me in the bed.

"I missed you, too. Like a lot," I said smiling at her.

"I love you so much," she said kissing me passionately.

We laid there in silence for a while. Just enjoying each other's company.

"I want to grow old with you." Les randomly said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah. I couldn't picture my life without you. I could see us moving in together or getting married. Waking up beside each other in the mornings, cuddling on the couch, making food together. Having arguments, making up afterward. Smiling for no reason, annoying each other for fun, never leaving each other's sides. Having the most adorable babies, live in a little house in the suburbs. The boys always coming over for dinner and the kids loving them. That would be the perfect life for me," she said making me smile.

"You must think about this a lot," I said kissing her forehead.

"All the time. Especially when you were in the hospital," she said smiling up at me.

I was quiet for a second. "You know. I was planning on proposing that night."

"Where you really?!?!" Les said excitedly.

"Yeah," I said smiling. She climbed on top of me and cupped my cheeks.

"I love you so much," she said kissing me.

"I love you too." I whispered once we pulled apart. "I might be injured but I wouldn't mind if we had sex right now."

She shook her head and giggled. "You haven't changed," she said kissing me. We kissed for a while before we heard a knock on the door.

"Hey mate. I was- is this a bad time?" Calum said, opening the door.

"Yes, we were about to f*ck," I said chuckling.

"No we wasn't. What's up?" Lesley asked, getting off of me.

"Oh, I was wondering if you two wanted to watch The Conjuring with us."

"Yeah, we will be down in a minute," I said smiling at him. He nodded and shut the door.

"You seem tired. You don't have to go," Les said standing up.

"I've been asleep for months. I'm okay," I said standing up.

"Okay, if you say so," she said smiling. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and we walked downstairs.

"There he is!!!" Ashton yelled with joy, his hands in the air.

"How you feeling mate?" Michael asked.

"Better now that I'm home," I said sitting down on the love seat, Lesley snuggling up to me.

"We missed you, mate," Cal said, patting my shoulder lightly.

"I missed you guys," I said back smiling.

"Here's the popcorn!!! Now, who's ready?!?!" Mum said excitedly.

"ME!!!" We all screamed in unison.

"WAIT!!! I HAVE GOOD NEWS!!!" Michael screamed loudly.

"What?" Les and Cal said in unison.

"I just asked out my coworker at the restaurant and I think she said yes," he said, looking up with excitement.

"Mate, that's awesome!!!" Ashton said hugging him.

"What's her name?" I asked.

"Melanie Johnson. She's Mrs. J's granddaughter."

"Oh my god, she's perfect for you!!!" Lesley said excitedly. We all congratulated Mikey and watched the movie.

I was glad to be home with my family.

Hey guys!! I'm SOOOOO sorry I haven't updated sooner. I've been really busy with school and some of my family have been in the hospital and I sprained my ankle so... I guess you could say I've been stressed lol. But I plan on trying to update quicker next chapter!!! I love you guys!!!
