Ch. 14

Chapter 14

Calum's POV

I woke up around six o'clock, waiting on Ashton to come. We were taking shifts, giving Luke time to rest. I stood up to go to the bathroom to change when I felt a sharp pain in my back.

"D*nm hospital chair," I mumbled to myself. I changed clothes and brushed my teeth, then walked back to find Lesley awake.

"Good morning!!!" I said happily.

"Morning," she said sleepily, "You going to school?"

"Yeah, I'm just waiting on Ashton to get here," I said sitting back down.

"I can be here by myself, I don't need a babysitter," she said jokingly.

"I know, but you give us an excuse to miss school," I said joking as well. The real reason was the d*ckface, Dallas. He knew she was here without adult supervision and would try to come to see her.

"Hey," Ashton said walking into the room.

"Hi," Lesley and I said in unison.

"Mrs. Johnson's waiting for you downstairs," he said to me.

"Okay," I said getting up. "Bye."

"Bye," Lesley and Ashton said in unison.

Lesley's POV

"So, you want me to go get you some breakfast?" Ash asked after we finished an episode of The Walking Dead.

"Yeah, I'll pay you," I said, reaching for my purse.

"No, I'll pay. What do you want?" he asked.

"Umm, a sausage biscut and orange juice please," I said smiling. He nodded and walked out the door.

I got on my phone and scrolled through Instagram until I got a text from Luke.

Mum's making me go to school :( I'll stay with u tonight though

Ok luv u, I sent back.

love u 2, he sent back in a matter of seconds.

"Hello," I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up and saw Dustin smiling at me.

"Hey!!!" I said excitedly. He came over and gave me hug.

"So, how are you feeling?" he asked, smiling.

"Better, I guess," I said smiling back at him. He sat in the chair beside me and smiled.

"I heard about you and Michael," I said smiling cheekily.

"Yeah?"

"How was it?" I asked.

"F*ck, I don't know, I was drunk!!!'' He lied.

"That's a lie!!! Dusty, I know you hate beer!!!"

"Maybe I wanted to see what it felt like to be drunk," he said, lying again.

"I know you liked it, I can tell by your face," I said smiling.

"UGHH IT WAS GREAT!!! OH MY GOD, HE WAS SO GOOD!!!" he said, fangirling.

"Hey, you're the guy that banged Mikey, aren't you?" Ashton said walking into the room.

"Yes," Dustin said with pride. "Well, I have to go, just wanted to check up on my boss *ss b*tch," he said coming over to kiss he on the forehead.

"Bye, my llama drag queen," I said as he walked out the door. 

"What?" Ash asked once Dustin left.

"It's our nicknames for each other," I said laughing. He handed me my food and I smiled, "Thanks."

"You're welcome," he said sitting down in the chair beside the bed. "When do you get to go home?" 

"Thursday, hopefully," I said taking a bite of my breakfast. 

"So, like, two more days?" he asked.

"Yup," I said nodding.

We were silent for a moment, just crunching on our food. 

"You know, ever since the incident, Luke always looked sad and he would never want to talk to anyone. But since we've been here and he's been with you, he's acting like the old Luke," Ashton said smiling down at his food, "I want to thank you for that."

"You're welcome, I guess?" I said giggling. "What happened?"

"He hasn't told you?" I shook my head, "I'll let him tell you in his own time." 

This made me curious, I couldn't picture Luke doing anything terrible. He doesn't seem like the type of person to hurt a fly, let alone a human. I hadn't really thought about it, but now the curiosity was killing  me. I wanted to know so bad at this point.
