Chapter 5
Lesley's POV
I woke up the next morning around 10:00 to the smell of Mrs. Johnson's cooking. I put my feet on the floor and stretched. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and hair. I walked to the kitchen and saw Luke at the stove.
"Morning," I said as I walked to the counter.
"Hey, sleepyhead. Get enough sleep?" Luke said cheerfully.
"Yeah," I said giggling, "What are you cooking?"
"I don't know. Mrs. Johnson gave me a recipe to cook while she went out," he said chuckling.
"We're... alone?" I asked.
"Yup," he said with a cheeky grin. He slid a plate to me and turned the stove off.
"Aye, you made pancakes," I said with joy. I took a bite and pancake batter exploded in my mouth.
"Are they good?" Luke asked hopefully.
"Delicious," I lied with a fake smile. Luke smiled and sat beside me. I took another bite of the under cooked pancakes and looked at Luke.
He took a bite and made a grossed out face. "These are disgusting," he said back. I giggled and nodded. "I'm sorry about last night," he said pushing his plate away from him.
"It wasn't your fault. You are actually a great kisser," I said laughing. He smiled, blushing lightly.
"Then why don't we do it again?" he mumbled, hoping I wouldn't hear. I smiled and looked up at him. I kissed his cheek and went to the fridge. I pulled out some orange juice and poured some into a cup.
"I know it must feel weird," Luke said randomly.
"What?"
"Making out and staying all night with a person you don't even know," he said playing with his hands.
"That's the thing. I feel like I've known you all my life," I said taking a sip of my drink.
The boy smiled and walked over to me. He cupped my cheek and I felt a family of butterflies explode in my stomach.
"Luke," I whispered.
"Hmm?"
"Kiss me," I whispered, looking into his beautiful blue eyes.
"Gladly," he said smiling before he placed his lips on mine. I felt the cold mettle of his lip ring on my lip and I smiled through the kiss. I heard my phone start to ring but I ignored it.
"You should probably get that," Luke said pulling away, placing his forehead on mine. I sighed and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Where the h*ll are you?!?!" I heard Dallas scream from the other end.
"Where are you?" I said back.
"On your front porch," he said back with anger.
"Why the f*ck are you at my house you creep?!?!" I screamed, looking out the kitchen window. Luke looked at me with confusion.
"I need you, badly," I heard Dallas whisper, "I miss you baby."
I pulled Luke through the house into a closet because I knew Dallas would come over to Mrs. Johnson's house. Why a closet? Mrs. Johnson's house was filled with windows.
"Get off my property or I'm calling the cops!!" I said with anger.
"Whatever. I will get you back," he said as he hung up.
