You headed for the BAU and you both made it on time. You went into the elevator then towards the conference room. You and Spencer came in just as Penelope was starting to present the case.
"You guys made it just on time." Dave says, spinning his chair to face you both.
"Yeah, sorry. We were at breakfast when we got the call so we had to go back to our homes and pack our bags." You explained but keeping the 'you and Spencer we're together last night' thing a secret even though Emily and Penelope knew about it.
"It's perfectly fine. We all had other things to do this morning until our mornings got interrupted so rudely by our job." Dave replied to you while crossing his arms.
"Alright, let's get started. You guys are headed to Alaska. There's 3 people dead in less than a week so the Field office has asked you guys to go in." Penelope starts, getting everyone back on track.
"For a town with the population of 1,476, that's fairly significant." Spencer says, sitting down in an empty chair next to JJ. You joined in by sitting next to him.
"It's their first murder investigation on record." Penelope continues.
"Who are the victims?" Dave asks as looks down to his files.
"Let's see. Jon Baker, hunter. Dedaimia Swanson, a schoolteacher. Brenda Bright, the first mate on a fishing boat. There's a new victim every 2 days." Penelope brings up their pictures onto the screen.
"Is there any connections?" you asked Penny, grabbing the files from the middle of table, handing one to Spencer who takes it from you and thanks you.
"Unfortunately, in a town this small, everyone's connected." She winced in response to your question.
"Damn." you whispered.
"There's different kill methods. It says the first two victims were both shot with a rifle, but Brenda was stabbed twice with an arrow?" Derek looks up after reading his files.
"Are we sure it's the same guy?" Emily asks, adding on another question.
"All three victims were found in heavily trafficked areas. The unsub wants them found sooner than later." Aaron explains to Emily, who nods in response.
"Jon Baker's body was left exposed to the elements but the women were buried under mounds of trash, why?" JJ asks.
"It could be a sign of remorse, cover their bodies so he doesn't have to face the-" Derek starts, before he was cut off.
"-reality of what he's done" you and Spencer continued the last sentence in unison. You both looked at each other and smiled.
"Or he thinks that the women are trash and he's just placed them where he thinks they belong." Derek continued, looking at you both weirdly.
