You were walking in a hallway with your gun pointed out. You cleared the first room and as you were clearing a bedroom, you saw a cardboard unsub so you took the shot. You swung around to see another cardboard person but it was a little kid. You lowered your gun and continued on into the next room. You saw two unsub cardboard cutout so you shot them both, going a bit too aggressive with the last cutout.
Buzz
You looked over to see the woman who was testing you walking out from behind the door.
"You didn't have to blow his brains out." the woman says, pointing out the last cardboard unsub you shot.
You looked over to the cutout to see the damage that you caused and you winced in embarrassment.
"Uh, I can explain." You spoke softly.
"Look, you'll get your results tonight. Go home and rest." She says and you nodded.
You took off the safety glasses and the vest as you walked out of the testing site. You sighed as you dropped off the glasses and vest at the desk then you headed for the car. You got in and you drove home.
You walked up the stairs of Spencer's place and you grabbed the keys to unlock the door. You turned the doorknob and you walked in to see Spencer was standing in front of his bookshelf, grabbing a book and in his other hand, he had a slice of pizza
"Hey! How did your testing go?" He asks with his mouth stuffed with pizza.
You dropped off your bag and keys at the door and you headed for the kitchen.
"Fine. How was work?" You asked as you grabbed a slice of pizza from the box.
"It was fine. No new cases or anything. It was mostly just a boring paperwork day." He says, sitting down on the couch.
"Well that's better than my day." you replied sarcastically as you plopped down onto the couch, Spencer's arms wrapping themselves around you.
"Y/n.. We talked about this." Spencer gave a pointed look and you just gave a smile back, "Anyways, when I got home, I got a call from the Houston center where they're holding my mom and they say she isn't doing too well with the trial. I might book a plane ticket and fly down there to talk to Dr. Stanfield, if that's okay with you?" He asks, finishing off his pizza.
"Go and visit her, she needs you more than I do." You replied.
"But what about your mom?"
"Spencer, your mom is more important than mine. Besides, we're about to crack the case and we're going to get the last contact that she gave us the name for. We can do it with one less person like we've been doing for the last, what, 5 months?" You questioned.
"Oh, come on. You were out for all those 5 months too so technically the team was down two people." Spencer says.
"Wait, no no, 4 people. Hotch and Derek left for different reasons but you know them. Then it's the two of us and we were required to take time off then I was required to stay off of the case including my mom until Emily finally gave in and let me on on it because she knew I knew my mom the best." You replied and he shrugged while waving his head around a little bit.
