You spent the next month solving cases from the BAU with Penelope and also getting ready for the baby to arrive. You also had talked with Spencer into buying a home so you could have a forever home instead of living in an apartment and you were looking at them whilst he was away.
"Okay, this is a nice home. What do you think?" you asked him over facetime as he was away in San Diego
"That is nice. It looks a little expensive though." Spencer says
"Well, let me check the pricing." you said as you grabbed the house listing and your eyes grew wide after seeing the price
"Uh oh, how expensive?" Spencer cringed after seeing your face
"Not.. that expensive.. Only $530,000," you answered and you watched Spencer's face go into shock
"Y/n, that is way too expensive and way out of our budget!" Spencer says
"I know! It seems everything is out of our budget. I can't find a good home that's nice and in our budget." you groaned
"We'll find something, don't worry. Look, I gotta go cause if I don't get the geographical profile done, Emily might kill me." Spencer says
"Go, I'll send pictures if I end up looking at any more houses."
"Love you,"
"You too, bye," you whispered and he clicked off the call
"Oh, y/n! You have to try these!" Penny calls out from the dining room
"What is it?" you asked, walking into the room and you saw Penny's mouth was stuffed with cookies
You giggled and shook your head, "Pen, are you sure we can have these?" you asked her
"Yes, there's a sign here that reads: take as many as you like!" she mumbled with her mouth still stuffed full
"Hm, I would take one, but you already ate all of them." you said, pointing at the empty plate
She gives you a guilty look but then reaches into her pockets and pulls out a couple of cookies from each pocket
"I- Penny!" you exclaimed and she hands you one then runs out of the room and out the door
You laughed as you followed her out. You walked to the passenger side of the car and got in
"Are we looking at any more houses?" Penny asks you
"Hm, I don't know. I don't think we'll find anything that's in Spencer and I's budget." you sighed, buckling up
"I'm sure you will! It takes patience and a good eye to find something." She says to you as she starts the car
"How about some lunch?" you asked her and she grimaced
"It was those cookies, wasn't it?"
"Maybe.. But I will stop by wherever you want and get you something."
